from John Pisciotta, Director, Pro-Life Waco
I’m so excited about two events coming up soon. One is the Baylor Lady Bears competing in the Final Four for the national basketball championship. I will not digress. The second is the Closing Event for 40 Days for Life beginning at 7 PM on Saturday, April 13.
We’re actually combining two events into one. We start with the popular and powerful Jericho March around Planned Parenthood. Following the Joshua 6 account of the walls of Jericho tumbling down, we will be led 7 times around Planned Parenthood by a priest blowing the Shofar Horn (the horn of a ram). Here is a photo from last year.
Our leader will be none other than Father Robert Verrill, graduate student at Baylor and pastoral assistant at the Catholic Student Center at Baylor. Since Father Verrill plays the trumpet, he is very skilled blowing the Shofar. Be a part of this. This will be one of your most memorable events of 2019. Then when the Jericho March is over and daylight fades, we will have a candlelight vigil with prayer, personal testimonies, and music. This is the first time we have had a Candlelight Vigil. Candlelight Vigils are being held on the same date in dozens of cities across America. What a magnificent sight this will be for travelers of HWY 6.
And don’t forget our Second Sunday gathering this coming Sunday. See previous article about our speaker, Jannique Stewart by clicking here.
