Below is a report from John Pisciotta, Director of Pro-Life Waco from their weekly newsletter on actions taken and actions to be implemented in Abilene to keep Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers out of their city and surrounding areas.
Abilene and other West Texas cities are threatened by the announced future expansion of Planned Parenthood’s abortion network to West Texas. Folks in Abilene and nearby cities are responding vigorously to oppose the return of abortion to their community.
Bob Lehman and I (John Pisciotta) were invited to a community gathering in Cisco Texas about 40 miles from Abilene. We had an opportunity to talk to local foot soldiers of Pro-Life of West Texas about strategies for raising community opposition to Planned Parenthood. We shared our initiatives of 2017 such as yard signs, billboards, a rally, petitions, etc.
They are already doing innovative things such as a campaign before the Abilene city council to make their city a sanctuary city for preborn babies. The invitation came through Herschel and Liz Redding who were pro-life foot soldiers in Waco for five or six years before they moved out to Abilene.
