As the abortion battle heats up and we get closer to Roe v Wade being reversed, we are seeing and experiencing hate crimes committed against pro-life advocates and pro-life materials at an ever increasing rate.
We have read stories on Life News about pro-life signs being destroyed, pro-life prayer warriors being assaulted and in our own area one of our state legislators even went so far as to verbally harass and dox a middle age woman and three teens.
This past weekend, vandals struck again at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Central Bucks County, destroying many of the memorial crosses we have on our grounds at the corner of Route 413 and Cold Creamery Roads. These crosses are put up each year to remember the lives taken through abortion since 1973.
Our first reaction was shock, then anger. How do we get past this anger? Through prayer!
Please join us for a prayer vigil on Saturday, October 19th at 12 noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at the same corner where our memorial crosses are placed. (map)
Our intention is two-fold, to prayer for the person(s) who committed this destruction, and to give witness to the community that, in the words of Father Pavone’s Prayer to End Abortion, ‘we will never be silent, never be passive, never be forgetful of the unborn. That we will commit ourselves to be active in the pro-life movement, and never stop defending life until all our brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice not just for some, but for all’.
