Live Action’s Inaugural “Life Awards” Gala Honored Defenders of Preborn Children

Alison Centofante, Director of External Relations forwarded the following report about the successful inaugural Live Action Awards Gala in Los Angeles, California.

The Inaugural Live Action Life Awards Gala was held on November 16th, and thanks to all who were able to support and attend, we filled the Historic Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles, California with over 550 pro-life leaders from California and across the country!

We chose Los Angeles for this gala to make a statement: if we can change hearts and minds on abortion here, we can change hearts and minds anywhere. And we are changing hearts and minds in Los Angeles and across the country.

Our gala united pro-life leaders from across the country to make it clear abortion is the most urgent human rights abuse of our time – and it must end.

We honored outspoken pro-life champions Ben Shapiro, Ben and Kirsten Watson, and Gianna Jessen with Live Action’s first Life Awards for their work and dedication in the pro-life movement.

The Life Awards Gala honors these individuals and all who are fighting to end abortion, the greatest human rights abuse of our time.

Live Action President and Founder Lila Rose said of the awardees:

“These pro-life leaders are well-deserving of this year’s Life Awards. Their courageous example is inspiring for all of us as we build a culture that respects vulnerable, preborn life. The pro-life work of Ben Shapiro, Benjamin and Kirsten Watson, and Gianna Jessen touches millions of people, including a huge number of young people who will shape our culture in years to come. We need more outspoken voices like theirs to share the pro-life message about the dignity and worth of preborn children, and the harm that is caused by abortion.”

Special guest Pat Lencioni, president and founder of The Table Group and New York Times best-selling author, also addressed the crowd of over 550 business leaders, organizational leaders, and dedicated pro-life activists encouraging them in their pro-life convictions.
