Chester County, Pa Spring 40 Days for Life Campaign Starts February 26th

Chester County 2020

The following is from Rachel Hayes, Campaign Leader for the 40 Days for Life Campaign in Chester County, Pennsylvania.  This campaign runs from February 26 through April 5th.  Sign-up information is listed below.

The spring 40 Days for Life Campaign is less than a month away – Wednesday, February 26 – Sunday, April 5. As details develop I will let you know the timing of our opening ceremony.

Many of us have been freshly stirred this month to pray without ceasing and actively stand in the gap for abortion-minded moms and vulnerable babies by observing and participating in wonderful life-affirming events: Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, ‘9 Days for Life’ Novena, Chester County Women’s Services Prayer Summit, Chesco March for Life, and the National March for Life in DC. We also anticipate a great turn out for the first ever PA March for Life in Harrisburg on Mon, May 18, 2020, as we seek to make PA a state that truly respects the dignity of all human life.

Be encouraged that your prayers and presence are making a difference outside of West Chester Planned Parenthood. While PP abortion numbers continue to rise across the nation in spite of overall abortions being down, and while PA abortions are up by 1%, the WC PP abortion numbers have been steadily going down, and from ’17-’18 there was a 10% decrease. According to PA Dept. of Health Abortion Stats, this represents 88 fewer children killed in WC. We can be very grateful for this news, and should be all the more inspired to pray and fast, raise awareness through community outreach, and take part in peaceful vigil to finally bring an end to abortion in WC!

Your help is needed to maintain constant vigil from 8AM – 8PM throughout the campaign. Do you have one hour of time to give? Please consider looking at your schedule and making a commitment to participate this spring. You may sign-up for vigil hours anytime on our local campaign page, and there you will also find helpful information and resources, such as location/parking details, local pregnancy center contacts, introduction to sidewalk advocacy, and updates on campaign events.

Feel free to contact me directly if you have any additional needs or questions re: the spring campaign. In addition, if your church or ministry does not currently sponsor a day(s) of coverage, let’s talk about how we can make this happen.

Looking forward to joining you in prayer as we stand together for the unborn.
