Catholic Bishop Slams Democrat Presidential Candidates: “All of Them are Pro-Abortion”

This week, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops also released a series of videos to encourage Catholics to vote pro-life. The bishops urged voters to make protections for unborn babies a “preeminent priority” at the voting booth this fall.

It’s no secret that the Democrat party supports abortion.  In their 2016 platform, they included language supported extreme measures such as:  no limits on abortion up to the third trimester and taxpayer-funded abortions.  Below is an urgent report from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops posted in Life News and authored by Micaiah Bilger,

Frustration with the Democratic Party’s extreme pro-abortion agenda is growing.
On Wednesday, Rhode Island Catholic Bishop Thomas Tobin joined a crowd of voices in questioning the party’s allegiance to the abortion industry, rather than its own voters, Breitbart reports.

“As the presidential primary shifts to New England, it’s sad to note that all of the major Democratic candidates are pro-abortion, supporting even partial-birth abortion,” Tobin wrote Wednesday on Twitter.

Nearly 1 million unborn babies are aborted every year in America, and Democrat political leaders are pushing for more. All of the top Democratic presidential candidates support abortions without restriction through all nine months of pregnancy and want to force taxpayers to pay for them. Some candidates even have refused to welcome pro-life Democrats into their so-called party of inclusion.

This radical pro-abortion stance is alienating voters, and pro-life leaders who are Democrats have been vocal about their disgust with the party for ignoring Democrat voters’ opinions and advocating for the billion-dollar abortion industry’s agenda instead.

“Where are pro-life Democrats supposed to turn? Or are pro-life voters not welcome in the Democratic party?” Tobin asked Wednesday.

The Democratic Party platform does not even align with moderate voters. In 2012, party leaders removed the word “rare” from the abortion platform, and, in 2016, added language calling for taxpayer-funded abortions. The platform does not support any limits on abortion, even in the third trimester when babies are viable.

Polls consistently show that most Americans, including a large number of Democrats, do not support such extremes. A recent Gallup poll found that 59 percent of Democrats want at least some restrictions on abortion and 29 percent identify as pro-life.

It is the Democrat position to continue to insist on a woman’s right to choose to kill her baby. If for no other reason all Christians regardless of what religion should vote against the Democrats. It will not just save one life, it will save millions of children’s lives.

The videos DO NOT urge Catholics to make abortion a “pre-eminent priority.”

However, you cannot vote for any candidate that supports abortion up to and including the moment of birth. That is morally wrong.

I do wish so one or all could be pro-life. As Catholics we have a dilemma when it comes to voting for a Republican or Democratic candidate. We need a third party it seems especially since only one person is running for Republican presidency. I have been praying for God’s will. My heart is torn so. There are so many issues affecting peoples lives in the Trump administration in many areas. What do we do about those. I hate the lesser of two evils to make a choice.

I think President Trump has been consistent on this issue since taking office. And he seems to have had a spiritual awakening. The last election I voted for him as ‘the lesser of two evils’; this election I’m voting for him because of his views and what he has accomplished despite the shenanigans of the democratic party .

We vote for life! It’s by far the most important thing if you are pleasing to God.

It’s about time the Catholic Church steps up to the plate… in my opinion; any candidate who claims to be Catholic & is for abortion should be excommunicated from the Catholic Church…..anyone who knowingly votes for a candidate who is pro abortion commits a mortal sin…. You cannot be a Catholic if you are for abortion…. when God ask me what did I do to protect his babies I want Him to know I was pro-Life….

Abortion is the gravest evil of our times, snuffing out millions of totally innocent, totally vulnerable human lives around the world. Abortion not only takes the lives of innocent, vulnerable human beings, unless repented from, it darkens the minds and the souls of all those who support it and procure it, putting their eternal salvation in jeopardy. Please pray for President Trump’s continuing conversion and for the continuing conversion of ALL people, too, to follow God’s will in all things.
