In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, pro abortion advocates are trying to expand abortion access via TeleMedicine.  They want doctors to be able to prescribe the abortion pill RU-486 without ever meeting the woman in person.

This is dangerous for the women involved and will greatly expand the number of abortions performed in Pennsylvania.  We need your help NOW to stop this threat.

Additionally, our Governor refuses to close the doors of existing abortion facilities even as all non-essential businesses and health care facilities are closing to decrease exposure to COVID-19 and conserve critical medical equipment.

Can you give us 20 minutes of your time this week to tell Legislators and Governor Wolf that new TeleMedicine legislation CANNOT allow telemed access abortions in Pennsylvania, and that abortion facilities should be ordered to CLOSE during this pandemic?

We are asking supporters to commit to time slots on Monday and Tuesday to call and email members of the Pennsylvania State Senate and Governor Wolf.

It is critical that our government hears directly from pro life Pennsylvanians.  Indeed, we often hear from our friends in the Legislature that pro abortion advocates yell longer and louder on issues regarding abortion access

We cannot allow the chaos of this pandemic to increase the number of surgical and medicated abortions performed in our state.

WHAT DO I DO AND WHAT DO I SAY:

**Please know that almost all phone calls will go to voice mail because Legislators are working with minimal staff at this time.  LEAVE A MESSAGE!  Voice mails are checked daily.  Be brief in your voicemail.   There is a small chance you will speak with an office staff person.  Please relay this message directly to them.

  1. At your allotted time, call your State Senator’s office. You can find your Senator’s name and contact information via this web tool.

SUGGESTED PHONE COMMENT: “Senator _____, as your constituent I urge you to support Senate Bill 857 as amended and I ask you to do all you can to make sure that this telemedicine bill is not used to expand abortion access in Pennsylvania.

I’m also asking you to pressure Governor Wolf to close all abortion facilities in our state during this pandemic because abortion is always non-essential and open doors at abortion facilities means needlessly exposing thousands of workers and women (and their families) to the virus.”

  1. Send your State Senator a follow up email with similar text (email addresses also available on the above contact page)

SUGGESTED EMAIL TEXT: “Senator _____, I just left a message with your office but because this issue is so critical I wanted you to hear from me directly via email.  As your constituent I urge you to support Senate Bill 857 as amended and I ask you to do all you can to make sure that this telemedicine bill is not used to expand abortion access in Pennsylvania.  Please ask Senate Leader Corman to keep the House language in Senate Bill 857.

I’m also asking you to pressure Governor Wolf to be consistent in his leadership by closing all abortion facilities in our state during this pandemic because abortion is always an elective and non-essential procedure.  It is crucial that all available medical equipment be conserved for use by hospitals treating seriously ill and COVID-19 patients.  Also, open doors at abortion facilities means needlessly exposing thousands of workers and women (and their families) to the virus.”

  1. Call Governor Wolf and demand that he acts consistently in his leadership by closing all abortion facilities in the state.

Phone: 717-787-2500

SUGGESTED PHONE COMMENT: “Governor Wolf, I am grateful for your leadership as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis.  Please be consistent in your efforts to conserve essential medical equipment and protect our citizens from unnecessary exposure to the virus by closing all abortion facilities in our state.”

  1. Follow up with an email to Governor Wolf.

SUGGESTED EMAIL TEXT: “Governor Wolf, I left a message with your office but because this issue is so critical I wanted to follow up with an email.  As a Pennsylvanian, I am grateful for your leadership as we navigate the COVID-19 crisis.  I am asking you now to be consistent in your efforts to conserve essential medical equipment and protect our citizens from unnecessary exposure to the virus by closing all abortion facilities in our state.

You asked last week that “all hospitals not engage in elective surgeries, elective treatments.”  Abortion is always an elective procedure.  I support your efforts to “do everything we can to support our front-line medical workers,” and this must include shutting down non-essential abortion facilities to conserve medical supplies and protect all Pennsylvanians from needless exposure to COVID-19.”

  1. Have some extra time? Please contact State Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman about the Senate Telemedicine Bill and closing abortion facilities.

Office Phone: (717) 787-1377
