“And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7
Every Christmas I am just struck by this passage. It is amazing that when I reflect on it, I begin to think about how Christ is not giving the right treatment, similar to how Mary and Joseph could not find a place in the inn after a long journey.
Today we have a similar problem like this when it comes to the abortion issue. Far too many times we have heard of women who have rejected life shared that they have no money, job, or even support when going through an unplanned pregnancy. Sadly, 61 million babies, since 1973, have not been welcomed or even made room in their homes or families all because of the throwaway culture.
Let us make room in the inn for the unborn today and everyday.
