August To-Do List

Hard to believe that it is August, and we’re more than half way through the summer.

The 8th month of the year can serve as a time to get in much needed family vacation before school is back in session. Sadly, the pandemic has put everyone’s plans on hold. Some are still unsure due to the unprecedented times.

The good news is Voices for Life has a to-do list throughout the month that can help you channel your Covid-19 frustrations in helping to advance the pro-life message. This list is applicable for your daily pro-life conviction.

  1. See Trump Card

It should come as no surprise that Dinesh D’Sousa, an immigrant of India, is not done defending the core principles of America. For the last eight years, he has been on the New York Times bestseller’s list, been falsely convicted for fraud, and has produced documentaries that have been game changers. His latest project, “Trump Card” is slated to be released on Friday, August 7th. Due to the temporary closing of movie theaters, you can view the documentary on-demand.

He played a pivotal role in exposing Hillary Clinton’s past which helped Donald Trump become the 45th President of the United States with “Hillary’s America”.

In addition, his most recent book United States of Socialism, is out now. To make your purchase, visit here.

2. Holy Hour/Mass for Life

Many states have masses back in session (with restrictions). Some of the faithful should be encouraged to host a Holy Hour for an end to abortion. St. Teresa of Calcutta once believed that if every Catholic made a weekly Holy Hour, we would see an end to abortion. So what are you waiting for? Even if you can’t bring one to you church, make one on your accordance.

3. Take part in vigils in your community

Connect with your local pro-life coalition and find out about vigil locations and times. Pray with your family, college, or even church group. Create a sign that advertises free help with contact information.

4. Host a pro-life committee meeting in your church

Gather people in your parish or church and discuss ways you can help get the pro-life message to your community all around with another pivotal election approaching.

5. Donate to pro-life charity

Give anything you have to advance many pro-life groups making a difference. Some groups include: Generation Life, The Culture Project, St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation, Guiding Star, and Susan B Anthony List to name a few.

6. Work for Susan B Anthony List

The Susan B Anthony List is gearing up to help reach out to voters as the 2020 elections are coming very soon. They are hiring in many battleground states. To learn more, visit here.

7. Purchase Stork: Sowing Season

An indie author recently came out with an amazing book that promotes a pro-life message. To order your copy, visit here. It will make an excellent read in your backyard with a cold drink or while you’re catching rays at the beach.

8. Sign up for 40 Days for Life

The 40 Days for Life campaign begins on Wednesday, September 23rd and ends the weekend before the General Election. The spring campaign was interrupted with the pandemic. Now, with many states putting this phenomenon behind, it is time to go all in to save lives, pray for the workers, help moms choose life, and make a difference in your community.

9. Sidewalk Servants

Even though we’re a long way from the next 40 Days for Life campaign, there are babies being murdered every day. Your presence for at least an hour two during the week will make an impact on the abortion industry. Learn more about sidewalk servants here. Consider starting one in your community.

Elections Have Consequences; Vote Your Conscience 2020

ATTENTION PA VOTERS

In an effort to piggyback on a previous post from Ted Meehan, I want to break down some other ideas regarding what to do on June 2nd for the Pennsylvania primary and the 2020 General Election. This is going to be the biggest election since the Civil War era.

Vote in person

By now, many of you have heard about an effort to vote via mail. It’s a scam to lose your votes. Nancy Pelosi and her circle of pedophiles, swamp creatures, and godless communists will stop at nothing to remove President Donald Trump from office.

I can’t understand how people can stand outside to enter a supermarket or even an essential store to not wait in line to exercise their right to vote. Even Joe Gale fought this attempt. Inform your family members, community, and friends to not take part in this scam. VOTE IN PERSON!

The PA primary is Tuesday, June 2nd. The deadline to register for the primary is May 18th. Absentee ballot deadline is May 26th.

Volunteer

This should not only apply to PA voters, but everyone who lives in key states that can play a crucial role in bringing real changes to Washington.

Help those who are running for office. There are candidates for the statehouse and senate along with Congress. You’re looking at 88% of seats up for grabs. Democrats control the House of Representatives. As we have seen in the last two years, they have to regard to the protection of human life at the moment conception until natural death, religious freedom, and the stellar work the current administration has done. The magic number is 218 as the House of Representatives is made up of 435 from all fifty states.

Be sure to visit Susan B Anthony to learn how you can do your part.

BE BOLD

  1. Share about candidates who vow to put God, freedom, and life on the platform of public office. Some candidates, in particular, are: Kathy Barnette, Andy Meehan, and Nick Freitas.
  2. Share pro-life messages on your social media outlets
  3. Take part in Twitter campaigns
  4. Pray in front of abortion facilities
  5. Be willing to engage with dialogue with friends and family regarding the pro-life issue. Remember you have a duty to instruct the ignorant whose mind is blind.
  6. Hold your elected officials accountable in how they vote on all culture of life issues
  7. Recruit new members from your church, college campus, and even those in your Knights of Columbus, parents who take their kids to school, etc. Be sure to train them on the dos and don’ts while figuring out what talents they can bring.
  8. Encourage members of the clergy to be more vocal on pro-life issues.
  9. Write pro-life editorials for major newspapers
  10. Volunteer at pregnancy resource centers
  11. Donate money to pro-life charities

Bonus Training: Should Women be Jailed for Aborting?

As you saw, Students for Life is hosting our own pro-life trainings for the next 5 weeks.

But there’s also a Bonus Training by Equal Rights Institute this Tuesday at 9pm EST!

The topic is a question that comes up often in conversations about abortion: “Do you think women should go to jail for having an abortion when it becomes illegal?”

In this webinar, Josh Brahm (the president of the Equal Rights Institute) will discuss that difficult question and offer several practical suggestions for how to respond to it. Afterward, Josh will take YOUR questions!

Make sure to REGISTER HERE or you won’t be able to join us live. Plus, the replay of the webinar will only be available for 48-hours. If you can’t join us live but you want to receive the replay link afterward, click HERE to register now.

Corona Virus Concerns; 40 Days Urges Caution But Be Present

Here are several email blasts from the Greater Philadelphia area campaign leaders regarding the coronavirus and how to go about it. Please be sure to use common sense if you decide to go forward with your commitment outside of these places of death. As of now, abortion facilities will continue to be open to murdering babies in spite of the pandemic.

Rachel Hayes- Chester County

40 Days for Life campaign headquarters has informed campaign leaders to monitor and comply with all national, state, and local health and safety regulations regarding the coronavirus/Covid-19.

You may be aware that Chester County has now had its first confirmed case, and the County is currently urging residents to avoid gyms, venues, and large public gatherings.

As our vigil is held outdoors and there is no necessity to be in close proximity to others, here are the recommended guidelines to follow while holding vigil:

Practice social distancing at your vigil sites by remaining three feet away from other participants and avoid physical contact such as handshakes and hugs. As we have all already been instructed from the beginning of this outbreak, if you are ill or a close family member is ill, please do not go out in public.

During this Lenten season, as we are already praying and fasting for an end to abortion and the protection of innocent human life, let us also pray for an end to the spread of this potentially deadly virus and for the health and safety of all our neighbors, born and unborn.

If there is any change to the Chester County recommendations I will send an updated notice. Of course, if you are uncomfortable holding vigil, please feel free to pray from home.

Anita Flynn- Planned Parenthood-Comly Road

Please know that you should not feel obligated to stand up at Comly Road if you are at all uncomfortable about being out in public during this time.  We never want anyone to be uncomfortable up there. Please feel free to contact me to cancel any time you may have scheduled.  There will be another vigil in the Fall and hopefully, by then this will have passed.

Any questions or concerns about our local vigil during this time let me know.  If you prefer to contact the 40 Days for Life organization directly about the email below here is their contact info:

Prayers that all who have contracted this virus will recover and that anyone feeling the downstream effects of this will have the support they need.

Monique Ruberu- Philadelphia Campaigns

I know with all of the coronavirus concern many of you are hesitant to go and pray outside of these centers.

Sadly although schools are closed, and nonessential businesses I don’t believe that the abortion centers are closing.

I can almost guarantee you that you will be standing alone or with another person in prayer… you are free to stand more than 6 feet apart, greet one another with waves and elbow taps, you can even wear a mask 🙂  but please consider coming out to pray.

The coronavirus has killed people, but the abortion center continues to kill 6000 babies a year. That’s 23 babies every day they are open.
It’s about 6 babies for every hour you stand there… so can you please come and pray for the 6 babies nobody else is standing up for?

Philly 40 Days for Life- Day 3

The following is from an email blast sent out by Dr. Monique Ruberu regarding 40 Days for Life in Philadelphia.

Dear Friends,

Today was another full day at the vigil!! Many thanks to the amazing prolifers from Epiphany led by Janet Glendening and the awesome Temple students led by Karly Brown.

Tomorrow is Saturday…. the worst day at the abortion centers… the line of cars seems endless and it is simply heartbreaking to watch.

Every woman entering these places is entering because they feel hopeless, scared, boxed in… and they don’t realize how much they will suffer if they go through with this “choice”…

The good news is that we are covered for every single hour tomorrow!!!!!! Thanks be to God for every one of you that will be present! Know that we will be praying for you as you stand in the gap!!!

please consider joining us and covering hours next week!!!

Monday 3/2: 12th and locust : 10,1,2

Tues 3/3: 12th and locust: 9,11,12,2,3

Wed 3/4: 12th and loc: 11,2
