Red Rose Rescue comes to Philadelphia

The following comes from a long-time friend and pro-life warrior,  with information on the rescue held in Philly a few weeks ago.  I hope everyone takes the time to read her commentary in full to better understand Red Rose Rescue and why she feels it is such an important part of the pro-life movement.

I just read the transcript of the phone call Todd Beamer made to a GTE phone operator on the United 93 flight, before he and 3 men made a plan to take the plane down, to keep the plane from completing the terrorists’ mission to hit Washington DC.

As I read this, I thought of the way the system of our nation is destroying itself from within by supporting and defending abortion.

I thought of how many people involved in peaceful rescue at the abortion sites have been willing to lay down their lives to stop abortion for that day, alongside having a day in court to speak for the abandoned unborn they were seeking to rescue.

And I think about the ones who have been jailed for doing these peaceful rescues and serve as a further witness within the system that supports and protects abortion. Being in jail is a critical part of the witness, which aligns our small suffering (of jail) with the ultimate suffering of the helpless children.

I am thinking of the mentality I have in doing these rescues: it is to be a stick in the spokes of the wheels of abortion, to place myself between the abortionist’s knife and the children.

To me, the quick action on United 93 to protect innocent people from the suicidal mission of the terrorists to crash that plane into a large building, is the same as our action in rescue.

In rescues we purposely put ourselves, our bodies, in a place that is preventing ‘the usual business’ of abortion from happening.

This usually involves sitting in a waiting room, or in some cases a hallway, where staff and police must notice us and must stop to negotiate (often yelling, at first) with us to ask us to leave. In our peaceful refusal to leave, we are buying time for the children’s mothers, who ultimately must decide for life and against abortion, in order to save the lives of these children, to hear offers of help and think about what problems can be untied to make the choice for life instead of death-by-abortion of their helpless dependent child.

To me, the terrorists of 9/11 who took over those planes are in fact exactly the same as the abortion-bound and the abortionists who seek to end the lives of the children. The terrorists were completely determined to see their mission thru to destroy as many lives as possible that day. The abortionists are completely determined as well, to dismember as many helpless, innocent children each day they are open for “business.” The mothers, even if under duress and in many cases compelled by others, are determined until shown a way out of this dreaded abortion decision, are also determined to complete this horrible deed.

And it is exactly the possibility of hope, changed direction, of a possible aborting of the mission of an abortion that drives the rescuer! We want willfully, intentionally to get in the way of the terrorists known as abortionists, to prevent murder!

This is what Todd Beamer and the others on United 93 realized they had to do, and do with great intent and speed, to prevent that airplane from being used by the terrorists to kill more people. And both prolife rescuers and Todd Beamer already accept that they are giving up their own freedom, their own lives to save others.

2 weeks ago, on August 27th, 2021, I placed myself in the way at a Planned Parenthood in Philadelphia, the city which gave birth to a nation, a few blocks away from where they signed the Declaration of Independence. I peacefully entered the waiting room, and sat in a chair with roses, to offer to patients who were contemplating aborting their child. I was able to interact with a few of these mothers. One took a rose and thanked me!

Eventually, the police walked in and saw me, sitting peacefully in a chair, with my arms full of roses. The officer said, “You don’t belong in here! You need to go outside with the rest of the protestors!” I said: “Officer, if you can get an affidavit from the employees and the abortionists that they will leave the building and not come back to kill helpless children, I will leave. Otherwise, I will stay here.”

About 10 minutes later, another officer asked me to leave, and I repeated my offer to leave peacefully, after they brought me proof that no employee of Planned Parenthood would come back inside to kill babies. When this officer proceeded to touch my shoulder, I knelt on the floor. Then he grabbed my arms, placing them behind my back, as the roses I was holding fell to the floor in front of me.

I was handcuffed. The 1st officer came over and the 2 police officers, picked me up off the floor and dragged me out of the building.

I did my best to stay inside this place of death, where for over 35 years at least 90,000 preborn children have been mercilessly dismembered. I was a witness to the abandoned unborn, and for those killed that week, and scheduled to die that day, I was there to be with them in their place of death, when even their own mothers had abandoned them.

As it turned out, the disruption to the usual abortion business of the day at that Planned Parenthood caused them to cancel all their appointments, and we were a witness to the police informing each young woman that approached the gate they could not enter — after I was removed from the waiting room —- myself and others witnessed that Planned Parenthood was closed for the day!

To me, this was being Todd Beamer for as long as I could, in a place where terrorists were not going to stop their usual business of killing. I want to see this courage in every American so as to shut down every place of terror that continues to grind apart our tiniest fellow Americans in an even more brutal way than the horrific attacks of 9/11 2001.

One day of abortion was wrong! Forty-nine years of abortion in the USA is too long. It has actually now been over 100 years worldwide since Soviet Russia “legalized” abortion in 1920, and that is far too long. This needs to end!

Fall Rally

In a previous blogpost, we mentioned that a fall rally will take place in October.

The stage is set for Saturday, October 9th outside of Philadelphia’s Women’s Center at 11 AM. the facility near Chinatown murders 6500 babies, 90% of them are African Americans. Meanwhile, they claim in their front window that Black Lives Matter.

How can you say “Black Lives Matter” when you murder them on a daily basis? If they do matter, you would fight tooth and nail to shut down the abortion facilities that target African Americans at their most vulnerable stage; the womb of their mother.

Join fellow pro-lifers in the Greater Philadelphia to give voice for the voiceless and protect all lives from womb to tomb.

Fall 2021 40 Days for Life Preview: Planned Parenthood

Nearly 4500 lives end on an annual basis in Center City Philadelphia. Thankfully, we have seen moms change their minds and even chose life.

Across the street is a life-saving facility that has seen an uptick in clientele. Some of it has to do with the peaceful presence every day outside of Planned Parenthood.

The campaign, running from September 22nd through October 30th, is looking for brave pro-lifers to cover an hour or two with love, prayer, and mercy. The facility is open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 5PM. Abortions are committed from Wednesday through Saturday. Philadelphia Community Women’s Center, under the operation of Legacy of Life, is across the street and will be open every day as well to meet the needs of any mom who changes her mind about abortion.

Sign up for campaign hours here. Bring a friend, group, or even someone who needs to do more in the pro-life movement.

If interested in the campaign at 777 Appletree, visit here.

In the post-Heartbeat Environment: Waco Delivers National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

If you live in or around Waco, Texas please try to attend this memorial service.  All the information as well as a flyer are included below.

Waco

from John Pisciotta, Pro-Life Waco

We will mourn babies lost to abortion and also focus on the surge in the babies that we can help save. Wow! The abortion battlefield has changed in Waco because of the Texas Heartbeat Law. PLEASE come out to this big event with a lead speaker I know you will love. It is the pro-life pastor from the pulpit and the public square, Rev. Clenard Childress (New Calvary Baptist Church of Montclair, New Jersey).

And our other speakers like Deborah McGregor (Care Net), me (Pro-Life Waco), Nancy Rothe (Nightlight Christian Adoptions), and Elle Staniszewski (Sidewalk Counseling) and Aine Fitzgerald (40 Days for Life) will rev us up for life-defender action. It is going to be an amazing morning.
Saturday, September 18th. 9 to 10:30 AM followed by fellowship, ministry displays and breakfast tacos. 4720 N 19th Street, Rachel’s Park Memorial. Arrive early and view the moving features of Rachel’s Park.  See the event flyer below.

I was asked about dress. Of course, casual. I would like to see a lot of pro-life t-shirts: red (Life Saver), green (Help Cure Abortion), 40 Days for Life in any color and any language. Or maybe you have another. Weather forecast looks good.

Prayer For Abortion Healing

Oh Lord, I had an abortion thinking it was for the best, but the grief and guilt I have felt ever since I took that decision has haunted me, and I feel so ashamed of myself and riddled with guilt, by allowing a little life to be taken in this way.

My heart is so heavy and I find that I am not able to think about anything else and realise more and more that it is against You Lord, that I have sinned and done this great wrong.

Lord, I feel broken inside and pray for Your healing and comfort. You have promised to mend the broken-hearted and to set those that are captive to guilt and shame free, and Lord, You have promised forgiveness and restoration to all who come humbly to Your throne of grace and confess their wrongdoing. My hope is in You, for You alone can restore the joy of my salvation.

Thank You, that You are a forgiving God, Whose mercies are new every morning and that You that You have promised to carry all our guilt and burdens, and so I hand this over to You today, and ask for the healing and restoration that only You can give, and the grace to forget what is past and move on with You as my guide. I ask this in Jesus’ name,

Amen.

“Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.” Psalm 30:2

Fall 40 Days for Life Campaign Preview: Philadelphia Women’s Center

6500 lives are murdered every year at the largest non-Planned Parenthood affiliate in Pennsylvania. Abortion. No matter what exists well at Philadelphia Women’s Center, located a few mere blocks from Independence Hall. During recent years, pro-lifers overcame assaults from escorts that were told not to return again, stolen property, bring videotaped by a professor of engineering who covered up sexual assault at Swarthmore University, vandalize signs, and a potty mouth security guard who has a demon inside of her.

Despite everything thrown against the faithful pro-lifers that are out there from Tuesday to Saturday, there have been saves and possibly some that went unreported by the grace of God.

The facility is open from Tuesday to Saturday 7AM to 4PM. Your presence, even for just one hour, is needed. We are yet to witness one of the dedicated workers at this murder center walk away from this place. Please sign up for hours here.

Prayer for Our Nation

God Our Father, giver of life, we entrust the United States of America to Your loving care.
You are the rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life,
liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for Your glory and dwell among Your people.
Send Your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of
human life and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind Your people that true happiness is
rooted in seeking and doing Your will.
Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, Patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the
culture of death. Lead us into a new millennium of life. We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.

Your Chance to do God’s Work

The following is from an e-mail blast sent by Dr. Monique Ruberu.

Last Saturday Irene who is new to sidewalk counseling (only her 2nd time praying there) came and joined Jim at 12th and Locust. A college-age guy and girl were stunned at the sign.  They complained about the facts written about Margaret Sanger.

Four male friends showed up. Two held back so I asked what they knew about Margaret Sanger. Never heard of her.

Irene alertly noticed one of the other guys nodding at her points as she explained how bad abortion was so she asked him to speak.

He simply said “I’m adopted. I would have been aborted.”

The six then headed off to some event with no further debate.

You don’t have to speak… all we ask is that you lovingly, prayerfully stand witness and offer resources if possible…

I promise that if you stand in prayer the Holy Spirit will give you the words needed when the time comes to speak.

Please help us have an unbroken chain of prayer!!! Please help us fill these empty slots.

Join us for 40 Days of Prayer & Repentance Beginning September 22nd

40 Days of Prayer

So, we’re into our 2nd year of the COVID pandemic and people are becoming worn down from the various variants and on-going restrictions.  But we are God’s people, and we persevere through prayer and penance, and our 40 Days of Prayer and Repentance is a good way to keep our perspective, and our focus on the Our Lord.  Why do we repent?  For the crimes we have allowed to take hold in our land, in particular the sin of abortion.

Prayer is the most powerful weapon we possess to fight against the evils of our world.

We invite everyone to join with us in prayer.  Our Prayer Campaign starts on Wednesday, September 22nd and runs until Sunday, October 31st. We will post a prayer and meditation every day during this time to remind everyone to pray for an end to abortion.

If you live in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, please join us for our 40 Days of Prayer and Repentance outside of the Planned Parenthood in Warminster. Contact your church’s Respect Life Committee Chairperson and find out which day your church is scheduled for public prayer. If you don’t have a committee or a 40 Days for Life coordinator, we will be glad to help you. (see flyer at end of this post for more information.)

What will 2022 bring? Only God knows for sure. But I’m certain that if enough people turn to Him in prayer, He will heal our land, our hearts, and our souls, and we will see an end to the many sins of our nation, particularly the sin of abortion.

Please see the flyer below for more information. We ask that you print out and distribute to all your contacts in Bucks County.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14
