Zoom Prayer Meeting on Good Friday

The following is from an email blast sent by Dr. Monique Ruberu

Pat and I are so proud of all of you!! You guys have continued to pray and that prayer support has allowed the few out on the front lines to be so effective…

40 days officially ended on the 4th so now we are into sidewalk servant time, but since we are unable to do our usual Good Friday closing and vigil outside of PP we thought we could possibly come together online with maybe a few people coming to us from the front lines at 12th and locust…

We can have a max of 10 people with physical distancing downtown, so if you want to go there please let me know so we can be ready for you with a mask and know where you will stand.
Pat will have a cross down there and hopes to do stations of the cross.

Please email Monique for the Zoom link at roobearoo@hotmail.com.

Evangelium Vitae- 25 years later

For most of his papacy, St. John Paul the Great emphasize the necessity for every Catholic to protect the sanctity of human life.

For him, his work that was promulgated on this day 25 years ago rings true today.

The point of the document is to reinforce church teaching on the sanctity of human life. Not only does he reinforce the teaching on abortion and contraception, but he also takes it a step further by discussing the death penalty stating that it is “unholy and unlawful”.

Another form of a murder he discusses is euthanasia “grave violation of the law of God” because it is a form of deliberate killing.

Overall, the encyclical was a pro-life manifesto. It defines what it means to be for all stages of life and how we can pick and choose which form of life we should defend.

Annual Rosary for Unborn Babies Set for May 1st – 3rd

We encourage all who pray the rosary to join with the Saint Michael the Archangel Organization in praying on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for an end to the surgical and non-surgical killing of unborn human persons.  Details for registering and promoting this prayer event are listed below.

The multinational ONE MILLION ROSARIES FOR UNBORN BABIES begins on Friday, May 1st and continues through Sunday, May 3rd, 2020.  The annual prayer event, coordinated by the Saint Michael the Archangel Organization, started about ten years ago.

Pray For The Unborn Rosary

“In 2018, over 135,000 Rosaries were registered by people living in more than 20 nations,” said Patrick Benedict, director of the Saint Michael the Archangel Organization.  “That was one of our best years with regards to participation.

“But, with hundreds of millions of Catholics throughout the world who could participate, the goal of one million Rosaries could easily be not only met but far surpassed.

“I am very much hoping persons reading this will not only register to pray at least one Rosary for an end to the killing of unborn babies, but will also let other people know about the ONE MILLION ROSARIES FOR UNBORN BABIES,” concluded Benedict.

The website (click here for website) has information about registering as a participant, promoting the prayer event, printing out bulletin inserts, etc.
