Pro-Life Berks Thanks all who Came out on Bridges Day

The following is a report from Kathy Kuhns of Pro-Life Berks on the National Bridges Day that was held last Friday, June 26th.  A few pictures are provided below.

Thanks to all who came out yesterday for the National Pro-Life Bridges Day.  We had about 20 people there, with lots of flags, along with our pro-life banners.  Pro-Life Berks (PLB) will look into getting another large banner, so we can better cover both sides of the overpass.  Traffic was heavy and we got plenty of honks, waves and a thumbs up from several.  Always a fun event.  Plan to join us next time.   Today’s  Reading Eagle had a picture and article about the event.

Watch for the mega SCOTUS decisions coming up shortly; mainly, the June Medical vs. Ruzzo which is huge for the pro-life cause.  Lord help us.

The Wall Street Journal had, on Wed., June 25th, a scathing article on Gov. Wolf, including his picture.  It was good to see his dirty deeds so exposed.  The newspaper also had an ad in on Tues., the 24th paid for by Planned Parenthood.  The article touted, “Birth Control is Good for Business:  Essential for a healthy workforce, economic growth, race and gender equity.    More on this in the July newsletter.

Get ready to help with the upcoming elections  Of course we want to support our national candidates; but look to especially help our local candidates, such as Annette Baker who is running against Judy Schwank – strong pro-abort- for state senate.  Annette is totally pro-life.  Also, Vince Gagliardo, who is running for Tom Caltagirone’s seat who is also pro-life.  He’s running against Manny Guzman, who is pro-abortion.  What makes this race so important is that the 127th Legislative District includes Planned Parenthood, so this is really the first time we can alert the voters of this district about the a pro-life candidate who opposes the evil Planned Parenthood.  Caltagirone, voted pro-life often, but tolerated much of what PP did.   Remember the adage:  all politics is local.  Still true.

This is the year to be involved in the election process.  So often, sad to say, pro-life people and others ask themselves, “what’s in it for me?”, before getting involved.  It’s not about money, fame and power; still strong motivators.  We all need to think, “big picture”, which is our freedom and the blessings of being a U.S. citizen.  So, start telling your family and friends about our great candidates and plan to get involved.
In Christ,
Kathy K.

Pedestrian Overpass Outreach is this Friday, June 26 in Waco, Texas

The following is from John Pisciotta, of Pro-Life Waco.  National Bridges Day is this Friday and we encourage everyone to come out in Waco, Texas and elsewhere to give witness to the atrocities taking place throughout the country.  You can find an event in your area by visiting the website of the Pro-Life Action League here

National Day

PLW has moved its Overpass Outreach to Friday this month to be a part of National Overpass Outreach day sponsored by Pro-Life Action League of Chicago. There will be over 50 cities nationwide delivering outreach on this day.

PLW likes to be a team player and collaborate with other groups. The time on Friday, June 26 is from 5 to 6:30 PM. The overpass is at the intersection of South Valley Mills Drive and Bagby Avenue.

We will stand at the overpass with social distancing. I encourage face masks. Park near Chili’s Restaurant. T-shirts will be available, so we all look “together” and sharp.

We had a dozen foot soldiers out for this event in May.  Can we get to over 20 this Friday? One more thing. I will have yard signs available with MUCH sturdier stakes. Guaranteed not to break. Just perfect for your yard and church grounds.

Join Pro-Life Berks for National Bridges Day this Friday, June 26th in Reading, Pennsylvania

The following is from Kathy Kuhns, President of Pro-Life Berks.  If you live in Berks County, please come out to witness with Kathy and her Board of Directors this Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

Pro-Life Berks

Friday, the 26th is the big day for the Pro-Life Bridge Day.  This is our third year.  You can help reach thousands of cars in 2 hours on the overpass, so come on out.   We’ll be there 4 to 6 PM when traffic is the heaviest.

We have banners and flags, but feel free to bring a sign too.  Suggestion:  “ALL LIVES MATTER”.   No political signs, please.

Thanks and hope to see you there on Fri.  Rain or shine.  Plenty of parking at Kissinger Church.  This really is a fun event.

HELP SPREAD THE PRO-LIFE MESSAGE TO THOUSANDS OF CARS.

Public Square Outreach has Resumed at the Overpass in Waco, Texas

The following is from John Pisciotta  from Pro-Life Waco

Outreach The public-square outreach of Pro-Life Waco resumed on May 21 with pedestrian overpass outreach over south valley mills drive.

The 11 of us who participated were enthusiastic and likewise the substantial commuter traffic on this sunny spring day.  The honking began even as we were displaying our signs and continued throughout an hour and a half beginning at 5:00 PM.

I’m convinced that one key to continued gains on behalf of those destroyed by abortion and those deceived by abortion is the personal “neighbor to neighbor” witness.  We will return in late June with pedestrian overpass outreach and I hope you will join the declaration that Central Texas residents have many neighbors who deeply care about the shedding of innocent blood.

For the launch of public square outreach thank you for your witness standing for life: Jana, Priscilla, Sheila, Deborah, Lou, Doel, Bob, Leon, Danielle, and Joseph.
