JULY TO-DO LIST

We’re halfway through 2022. We have so much to celebrate, especially the recent ruling from the Supreme Court.

Now, that we will navigate the first full month in a post-Roe society, there is much work that needs to be done to build a culture of life. There is no victory lap.

Summer is upon us, yet we still must be present outside of abortion facilities, pregnancy resource centers (with the threat of the summer of rage from the pro-aborts), and even those from all walks of life

  1. Take part in prayer vigils near you
  2. Contact your priest and request a Mass be celebrated in thanksgiving for the reversal of Roe v Wade
  3. Donate to Crisis Pregnancy Center
  4. Brush up on pro-life apologetics
  5. Write op-eds for your paper
  6. Continue to recruit new people to join your respect life group at your church
  7. Help the elderly without air-conditioning or alone
  8. Host a BBQ/Shower for moms who courageously chose life but need help.
  9. When traveling, take part in a prayer vigil at the city of your destination

Make this your summer of service for the needy and marginalized.

WILL THE GOD-FEARING CATHOLIC CLERGY PLEASE STAND UP? SPEAK UP

When was the last time you heard a homily that centered on why abortion, gay marriage, birth control, death penalty, unjust wars, etc are wrong?

Surprisingly, many Catholics haven’t heard it every time they attend Mass on every given Sunday. Even if the priest or bishop does, they fear facing potential backlash from someone who could walk out from a message they disagree with. Today, churches are under attack, interrupted by those who are obsessed with a series called “A Handmaid Tale”. I thought adopting an Orwellian Utopia was bad enough from 1984.

20% of Catholics attend Mass while the other 80% find lame excuses to not live out their Catholic faith. The core reason is that they refuse to acknowledge the science and humanity of the unborn child, yet they would take part in the public outcry over a police shooting without a hint of researching the facts.

Thanks to poor catechism and even understanding of church teachings two out of three Catholics got the United States into the mess we endured for nearly half a century. On top of it, the priests are frightened to share the message of truth. It needs to be done now more than ever.

The fact that four Catholics on the Supreme Court overruled Roe v Wade and Casey v Planned Parenthood that now is the time to change our culture, heal our land, and most importantly begin the real work that we’ve been training for since 1973.

A faithful Catholic can’t say that they are Catholic but… That means you are not a true Catholic. Being a faithful Catholic or Christian means you are all in to defend those who need a voice and help them in their hour of great need.

The Catholic Clergy needs to step up their game and start proclaiming the truth with charity and mercy.

Fathers, Bishops, and Cardinals, rise up! Rise up and stop fearing rejection. Jesus persevered with great faith despite being rejected by many. You can too.

ROE AND CASEY DECISIONS OVERTURNED; POST-ROE WORK HAS BEGUN

I know in the distance that 63 million unborn children denied the right to life are singing and leaping in rejoicing over the fact that Divine Providence was felt at the Supreme Court less than 50 years following the barbaric overreach through Roe V Wade. No golden jubilee for Roe come January 2023!

Today, on the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, the Supreme Court ruled that the constitution does not guarantee abortion and Roe was unjust.

Surprisingly, the court ruling was 6-3 to overturn the original ruling from seven men (yes, men can and should have an opinion on abortion). The following ruled for the overturn Roberts, Coney-Barrett, Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Alito, and Thomas. the rest of the judges ruled for the original to be upheld.

“Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives,” Alito wrote.

Now, that the overreach of abortion is back in the states, we have much work to do to build a culture of life. 24 out of 50 have already banned abortion. We must continue the work. We have the tools. It is now time to finish the job.

CALL TO ACTION

This is not the time to sit on the thumbs after the monumental victory. We must continue to defend life until everyone understands the fact that abortion is unthinkable. The pro-aborts, since the leak on May 1st, have attacked churches, declared open season on pro-lifers, and even pregnancy centers. They intend to do more regardless of today’s decision. We must double our efforts now more than ever

Here are things you can do:

  1. Continue being present in front of abortion facilities in your communities
  2. Volunteer to protect pregnancy resource centers as pro-aborts are planning to launch a summer of rage following the imminent ruling
  3. Continue to pray for the conversion of heart and healing across our land
  4. Protect your churches from potential attacks
  5. Persuade lawmakers to protect life from womb to tomb
  6. Host Holy Hour for Life at your church
  7. Brush up on apologetics

Buckle Up, ladies and gentlemen! Hang on to your valuables. The Post-Roe Ride is ready for ignition.

HOPE PREGNANCY CENTER VANDALIZED; NEVER GIVE IN

As the Dobbs v. Jackson decision is pending, the recent leak has propelled violent acts by unhinged pro-abortion terrorist organizations.

Unfortunately, Philadelphia was not immune to these attacks. Hope Pregnancy Center, located on Broad Street and a mile south of Temple University, was vandalized this past Saturday.

The details have not been released. The director asks for prayers and will update the pro-life community on what we can do.

It is clear that those who advocate for abortion and claim that pro-lifers don’t care about women are total hypocrites of this myth. They’re the ones who have been anti-woman. They’re the ones who see women as dollar signs. They’re the ones who do not want to help women with their pregnancies. They’re the ones who choose which science to follow while dismissing the claim that life begins at conception.

The real people since the half a century of the debate who care for women are those who work in pregnancy centers and are targets of domestic terrorists. Those who work or volunteer for the abortion industry lack love and mercy while carrying years of regret deep down their heavy, suffering hearts who are in need of Jesus.

To paraphrase Winston Churchill: We shall not be afraid nor fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in our communities, the public square, and oceans; we shall fight with growing confidence and growing perseverance in the faith that God is on our side. We shall never surrender. Never give in.

JUNE TO DO LIST

Happy June, Pro-lifers!

Schools will be let out soon. We will be attending family gatherings, weddings, graduations, and outings to baseball games. Even the temperatures will be cranked up.

Your pro-life conviction should not take a vacation. Instead, it should be your daily commitment to be all life 365 days a year, whether cold, heat, sleet, snow, rain, or shine.

We also will find out the ruling that can set America back to being a pro-life nation when the justices hand down their official rulings on Dobbs v Jackson.

Here is a list of things to do during June:

  1. Pray the Novena to the Sacred Heart
  2. Participate in a Corpus Christi procession at your parish. Pray the novena here.
  3. Support St. Raymond Nonnstud Foundation’s fundraiser throughout June
  4. Support pro-life businesses when shopping for gifts in the midst of weddings, graduations, birthdays, etc.
  5. Take part in the Summer of Service.
  6. Hold a baby shower for a mom who chose life for her child
  7. Pray for dads
  8. Participate in the 1st Friday and Saturday devotions
  9. Pray the rosary for an end to abortion
  10. Host a Holy Hour at your parish and offer it for the defense of life

Please pray for pregnant women vulnerable to abortion and their precious babies. And please pray for all the cyclists participating on June 11th!

THE CASE FOR JOE GALE AS GOVERNOR OF PENNSYLVANIA

With the primary race for PA Governor just a few mere weeks away, it is clear that there is one candidate who can cross off everything voters need to defeat Josh Shapiro and undo everything Tom Wolf has done… Joe Gale.

Against all odds, Joe Gale won a challenging and dirty race in 2015 to become Commissioner of Montgomery County after he learned of the establishment Republicans in the county had endorsed a board member of Planned Parenthood. He won by 1000 votes between him and the establishment candidate.

What sets him apart from establishment candidates like Jake Corman and Doug Mastriano is his events called “Cup of Joe”. He has held more than 1000 of these events since 2015. During these events, he connects with voters throughout Pennsylvania to discuss the issues pressing them.

In the summer of 2017, he became a voice for families of Berks County who wanted to remove Planned Parenthood and its agenda in the public school system. With his help and voice, the nine-member school board voted down Planned Parenthood by a narrow 5-4 vote.

With Joe Gale, we have a powerful voice that is needed to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Joe Gale is the complete package that is needed for Pennsylvania.

He has even fought the recent mask mandates in his county that have been waning our school children. He brings a common-sense approach to politics.

With Joe Gale, he can restore common sense, undo the Tom Wolf and RINO legacy combined, and most importantly bring more common sense to Harrisburg and the entire keystone state.

I am endorsing Joe Gale for Governor. You should too. Let’s support more candidates like him that are more action than talk.

FIVE SAVES IN ONE WEEK

The headline says it all. In two separate email blasts within 48 hours, Monique reported five saves.

On Monday and Tuesday, a save took place, one from each facility. On Friday, a student from UPenn reported of a woman changing her mind about abortion and connected her to Alpha Pregnancy in West Philly.

On Wednesday, a pro-lifer encountered a police officer who shared how he saved his son from abortion 34 years ago.

Then, Dr. Monique Ruberu received two calls about women who took the abortion pill and want to reverse it. She was able to call in the medication needed to begin the process.

We are making strides. Continue to do your part in saving lives with your loving and peaceful presence.

PRO-LIFERS IN GREATER PHILADELPHIA RALLY FOR LIFE AT INDEPENDENCE HALL

Pro-lifers across the Greater Philadelphia area gathered in the City of Brotherly Love for the 2nd annual March for Life in Philly.

With over 300 in attendance. they all gave voice to the most vulnerable in our society through their love and bold witness.

Before Mass, Catholics gathered at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral for a rosary and singing of “America the Beautiful”. In his homily, Fr. Gill told those gathered to “Our efforts begin with God. Be encouraged, not discouraged.” He goes on to say that Catholics are not only armed with prayer but also with the Eucharist.

On the lawn of the cathedral, Catholics joined their Protestants brothers and sisters in Christ in a ecumenical prayer service as many pastors ask for God for his intercession to end the senseless violence committed against everyone from womb to tomb.

The march went from the cathedral to Independence Hall with a stop at Philadelphia Women’s Center. While there, pro-lifers saw the reality of where the murders take place while overcoming the vile hatred and ridicule from the volunteers and workers there who masked their disgust on their faces of the loving and peaceful pro-lifers assembled. All were reminded to treat them with mercy and kindness. Even a woman came out scared and crying as sadly she had her child murder despite the pleas to offer the woman post-abortive help.

The rally helped energize the faithful as they heard from Toni McFadden, Monique Ruberu, Michael Geer, Pete DeMaio, and Kristan Hawkins.

The fitting part of the rally is Kristan Hawkins correlating the Declaration of Independence with the three unalienable rights our founders mention in the historic document. She goes on to tell the faithful in attendance to “be bold. be not afraid. defend life.”

Everyone is ready to make their bold stand against abortion now. They have God on their side and are ready to get the job done, no matter the critical outcomes that will be decided in the next few months.

Pro-lifers, assemble! Do not be afraid to step into the breach and offer your gifts and talents to cultivate the pro-life message.
