Oh Lord, I had an abortion thinking it was for the best, but the grief and guilt I have felt ever since I took that decision has haunted me, and I feel so ashamed of myself and riddled with guilt, by allowing a little life to be taken in this way.
My heart is so heavy and I find that I am not able to think about anything else and realise more and more that it is against You Lord, that I have sinned and done this great wrong.
Lord, I feel broken inside and pray for Your healing and comfort. You have promised to mend the broken-hearted and to set those that are captive to guilt and shame free, and Lord, You have promised forgiveness and restoration to all who come humbly to Your throne of grace and confess their wrongdoing. My hope is in You, for You alone can restore the joy of my salvation.
Thank You, that You are a forgiving God, Whose mercies are new every morning and that You that You have promised to carry all our guilt and burdens, and so I hand this over to You today, and ask for the healing and restoration that only You can give, and the grace to forget what is past and move on with You as my guide. I ask this in Jesus’ name,
“Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.” Psalm 30:2
We’re halfway through the year. It felt like yesterday that we said good riddance to 2020 that will eventually be a livid memory.
Now, that we are slowly but surely coming out of the nerve-wrecking pandemic, it is time to step up your game to defend life in your community.
Here are events and suggestions for July:
- First Friday and Saturday devotions
- Pray the Patriotic Rosary for the 4th of July holiday
- Educate people about the importance of the Declaration of Independence, particularly the first inalienable right.
- Make a Holy Hour for Life
- Take part in Sidewalk Servants
- Learn how to Sidewalk Counsel
- Volunteer at a pregnancy resource center
- Distribute water, food, and toiletries to the homeless
- Host a fundraiser for a homeless shelter, crisis resource center, etc
- When on vacation, locate an abortion facility near the destination and pray for an hour while meeting local activists.
- Participate in the summer rally near you. Details coming soon.
- Join the Sisters of Life in a rosary walk on July 24th. It’ll start at Basilica at 10AM.
- Run a maternity drive for mothers in need and pregnancy resource centers.
Overall, your pro-life conviction does not take a vacation. It is 24/7. Be sure to be creative with exercising your pro-life views.
Have a great month of July and a safe summer.
Thank you for joining us in prayer and reflection on the Stations of the Cross the last 14 days. Without the power of God’s grace, the flood of immorality, false thinking and grave sin cannot be overcome. A culture drenched in blood and glorified in lust and pride desperately needs the purifying, transforming grace of Christ.
Lord, we have followed step by step the way of the Cross of murdered unborn children, victims of our time. With these steps we have kept in step with You and have kept You company on Your Holy way of the Cross, because You have said, “Whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for Me.”
Have mercy on mankind in our day and time. It is You, You alone, who can put an end to these evil works of the devil. The souls of murdered innocent life are crying out to You. Lord, have mercy. Amen.
Enjoy some of the photos from yesterday’s event. Nearly 200 people came out to give witness to life, many were from Students for Life, sporting a purple knit hat that read: “Pro Life Generation” across their foreheads.
For the blog post about the event, read about it here.
In addition to the day outside of Planned Parenthood, learn why I still made the trip to DC for the March for Life, despite the restrictions and the switch to virtual.
“Plead my cause and redeem me; give me life according to your promise!” – Psalm 119:54
Please join us as we pray:
Lord, speak to our hearts and make alive in us according to your Word.
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.” – Revelation 17:14
Please join us as we pray:
Lord, you’re the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, place truth in our actions.
Please accept our invitation to join in daily prayer during the national 40 Days for Life Campaign. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we possess to fight against the evils of our world, especially the evil of abortion.
Our Prayer Campaign starts on Wednesday, September 23rd and runs until Sunday, November 1st. We will post a prayer and meditation every day during this time to remind everyone to pray for an end to abortion, in our communities, in our country and throughout the world.
We pray for all who procure, promote or provide abortions. Our hope is that through our prayers and public witness, we will see an end to this violent act of aggression towards the most vulnerable in our society, the child in the womb.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

September 22nd (6pm – 7pm) Kickoff at St. Agnes Parish, 233 West Gay Street, West Chester (parking behind the church). Join us for a time of prayer, praise, and testimony to the beauty and sanctity of Life. Who doesn’t need to be freshly encouraged to persevere and not give up hope as we launch into our 27th campaign of peacful vigil to save lives and end abortion in West Chester?
40 days for Life begins September 23 covering weekdays and Saturdays, 7am -7pm. I really need your help to get these hours filled as soon as possible. I know we all have very busy lives filled with service, work, school, and caring for our families, but if each person on this list committed to just one hour of vigil and encouraged one family member/friend to do the same, we could have the entire vigil fully covered with two people present & praying throughout. We can do this!
Do you have one hour to give from Sept. 23rd – Oct. 31st?
PLEASE visit our campaign page and commit NOW for an hour of vigil anytime throughout the campaign and/or sign up through your church’s vigil coordinator.
October 17th Midway Baby Donation Dropoff. Email to follow with specific needs, and information will also be posted to our campaign page.
THANK YOU in advance for stepping up to be a voice for the voiceless!
