Oh Lord, I had an abortion thinking it was for the best, but the grief and guilt I have felt ever since I took that decision has haunted me, and I feel so ashamed of myself and riddled with guilt, by allowing a little life to be taken in this way.
My heart is so heavy and I find that I am not able to think about anything else and realise more and more that it is against You Lord, that I have sinned and done this great wrong.
Lord, I feel broken inside and pray for Your healing and comfort. You have promised to mend the broken-hearted and to set those that are captive to guilt and shame free, and Lord, You have promised forgiveness and restoration to all who come humbly to Your throne of grace and confess their wrongdoing. My hope is in You, for You alone can restore the joy of my salvation.
Thank You, that You are a forgiving God, Whose mercies are new every morning and that You that You have promised to carry all our guilt and burdens, and so I hand this over to You today, and ask for the healing and restoration that only You can give, and the grace to forget what is past and move on with You as my guide. I ask this in Jesus’ name,
“Lord my God, I cried to You for help, and You healed me.” Psalm 30:2
Thank you for joining us in prayer and reflection on the Stations of the Cross the last 14 days. Without the power of God’s grace, the flood of immorality, false thinking and grave sin cannot be overcome. A culture drenched in blood and glorified in lust and pride desperately needs the purifying, transforming grace of Christ.
Lord, we have followed step by step the way of the Cross of murdered unborn children, victims of our time. With these steps we have kept in step with You and have kept You company on Your Holy way of the Cross, because You have said, “Whatsoever you do for the least of my brothers, you do for Me.”
Have mercy on mankind in our day and time. It is You, You alone, who can put an end to these evil works of the devil. The souls of murdered innocent life are crying out to You. Lord, have mercy. Amen.
Enjoy some of the photos from yesterday’s event. Nearly 200 people came out to give witness to life, many were from Students for Life, sporting a purple knit hat that read: “Pro Life Generation” across their foreheads.
For the blog post about the event, read about it here.
In addition to the day outside of Planned Parenthood, learn why I still made the trip to DC for the March for Life, despite the restrictions and the switch to virtual.
Please accept our invitation to join in daily prayer during the national 40 Days for Life Campaign. Prayer is the most powerful weapon we possess to fight against the evils of our world, especially the evil of abortion.
Our Prayer Campaign starts on Wednesday, September 23rd and runs until Sunday, November 1st. We will post a prayer and meditation every day during this time to remind everyone to pray for an end to abortion, in our communities, in our country and throughout the world.
We pray for all who procure, promote or provide abortions. Our hope is that through our prayers and public witness, we will see an end to this violent act of aggression towards the most vulnerable in our society, the child in the womb.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14

Below is a message from Rachel Hayes, Leader of Forty Days for Life, Chester County, PA.
September 22nd (6pm – 7pm) Kickoff at St. Agnes Parish, 233 West Gay Street, West Chester (parking behind the church). Join us for a time of prayer, praise, and testimony to the beauty and sanctity of Life. Who doesn’t need to be freshly encouraged to persevere and not give up hope as we launch into our 27th campaign of peacful vigil to save lives and end abortion in West Chester?
40 days for Life begins September 23 covering weekdays and Saturdays, 7am -7pm. I really need your help to get these hours filled as soon as possible. I know we all have very busy lives filled with service, work, school, and caring for our families, but if each person on this list committed to just one hour of vigil and encouraged one family member/friend to do the same, we could have the entire vigil fully covered with two people present & praying throughout. We can do this!
Do you have one hour to give from Sept. 23rd – Oct. 31st?
PLEASE visit our campaign page and commit NOW for an hour of vigil anytime throughout the campaign and/or sign up through your church’s vigil coordinator.
October 17th Midway Baby Donation Dropoff. Email to follow with specific needs, and information will also be posted to our campaign page.
THANK YOU in advance for stepping up to be a voice for the voiceless!

The following is from Judie Brown of American Life League.
Shepherds lead from the front; goatherds lead from behind.
There has been a lot of commentary about Bishop Robert Barron’s insistence that the laity — and not the bishops — should be providing clarity during times of crisis.
So let me give you a vivid example of the rank cowardice we have among the Catholic bishops today.
What follows is a statement made in May 2020 from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops which — if they actually published something like this — would give pro-life Catholics across America a great deal of courage:
“Our hearts are wounded for the many souls mourned as African American communities across the nation are being disproportionately infected with and dying from the impact of Planned Parenthood. We raise our voices to urge state and national leaders to examine the generational and systemic structural conditions that make Planned Parenthood especially deadly to African American communities.
“We stand in support of all communities struggling under the weight Planned Parenthood has had not only on their physical health, but on their livelihoods, especially front line medical and sanitation workers, public safety officers, and those in the service industry. We are praying fervently for an end to abortion, and for physical health for all, and emotional healing amongst all who have lost loved ones.”
If the Catholic bishops can be so adamantly clear during a pandemic that has killed 121,000 Americans, why can’t they be just as strong (if not STRONGER) in the face of the 2,363 abortions committed every day in America?!
Now it has been 103 days since the COVID-19 lockdowns began. COVID-19 has claimed the lives of 121,000 Americans. In 103 days, the abortion industry has murdered 271,508 babies.
This, Bishop Barron, is the problem. We don’t need cowards. We don’t need more politicians. We need BISHOPS unafraid to live and defend the GOSPEL.
How much longer will the Catholic bishops be silent in the face of the greatest sin this nation has ever committed in the eyes of God?
If Barron is asking the laity to lead, then the laity is begging our Catholic bishops to ENFORCE CANON 915.
