After a two year hiatus, the annual Stand Up for Life Dinner returned in person. Last year’s event was virtual which saw Matt Walsh and two award recipients while also the call for donations to continue the life-saving work of the Pro Life Union of Greater Philadelphia.
On Sunday evening, 1200 strong came out to the in person event while others streamed it live. The event was a sellout and the organizers couldn’t picture a better way to be back in person. However one person attended the event, everyone was inspired to continue the fight for life from womb to tomb while also contributing to advance the great works. The room was filled with people of all walks of life from people getting their feet wet in pro-life work at grammar school level up to the seasoned peaceful demonstrators that have many stories to tell to the younger and upcoming pro-life leaders and activists.
The event also saw three recipients who were awarded for their heroic efforts to defend life.
Deborah Molina received the 2021 Be Not Afraid Award for leading Sidewalk Servants so faithfully since its inception less than five years ago. Through her efforts, babies have been saved between the 40 Days for Life campaign across the Greater Philadelphia Area
Regina O’Reilly, a longtime member of the Pro-Life Union’s board, received the James Kelly Pioneer Award for her years of pro-life involvement
Dominic Sceski received the John and Harriet Stanton Young Leader Award for his work with Generation Life and leading more young adults in getting involved in pro-life work.
We are proud of the recipients and for all of their hard work.
The event was headlined by Patricia Sandoval. She was a former Planned Parenthood employee who promoted sex education in schools. She shared about her abortion experience and how she saw how the abortion industry operated like a chop shop. Her involvement drove her to substance and drug abuse that at one point left her without food or water for five days. Then, God transfigured and healed her. She is now a mother, wife, TV personality on EWTN, and most importantly the daughter of the king.
“ALL of this is about GOD… how can we serve HIM with the little time we have on this planet. He is so generous to us. He gives His very flesh and blood to us every single day, He loves us more than we deserve, and He is so compassionate and forgiving.” Dr. Monique Ruberu said as she reflected on a very moving evening.
Father Chris Walsh ended the evening with a plea to “give to the Pro-Life Union as we approach Giving Tuesday on November 30th”.
Even Tom Stevens used the example of one couple who changed their mind on aborting their child thanks to the witness of Mark Houck, founder of The King’s Men. That baby was born and her name is Neveah. Stevens remarked that it is those who give alms, time and talent to cultivate the life-saving and giving messages to all.

Now it is November! Can’t believe it! Brrrrr!. Nevertheless this coming Friday is First Friday! The Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition will have its Life Chain at Planned Parenthood from 9:30 – 10:30 on Friday, November 5, 2021.

With the annual dinner only weeks away, the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia is asking for you to sponsor a student or two to attend the dinner.
The cost is $50. The goal of the organization is to help students from grade school to grad school to be a part of this annual event and to be equipped with the tools to build a culture of life at their school.
Please read Dr. Monique Ruberu’s urgent request below. She is one of our strongest leaders in our Philadelphia pro-life community. Please give her request prayerful consideration. This is yet another avenue we can take to strengthen our pro-life mission.
Thanks to each of you reading this blog – no matter where you call home – for all you do to be the voice for our unborn boys and girls.
I am so blessed to be a Pro-Life Napro Technology Trained Ob/Gyn. In addition to treating our typical beautiful patients, the generosity of donors has allowed us to offer free care at Natural Women’s Health to wonderful women who are struggling financially or would otherwise seek care at an abortion facility.
At Natural Women’s health all women have the opportunity to truly understand the root cause of all their gynecologic issues.
We treat every Gyn problem effectively without the use of contraceptives in alignment with our faith. We also help couples who are struggling with fertility challenges to conceive without the use of IVF.
We help mothers to understand the root cause of recurrent miscarriage and attempt to heal it. We address post-partum depression effectively without the use of anti-depressants.
We are blessed to offer free abortion pill reversal services to any woman who desires to choose life for her child after using an abortion pill.
All of this is possible because every bit of this work is FOR THE GLORY OF GOD. Through Him all things are possible. He has provided a way in every situation that we have faced.
The office has been growing, and I have felt the longing to bring another faithful, caring, God loving provider to our family. I did not know how this would be possible considering that I honestly can’t afford to pay myself a proper salary. Every month we focus on paying our employees, paying our rent, paying our bills and serving our patients.
Then God provided. Sharon is a PA with many years service under her belt. She has two sons that are Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, and she is a faithful daughter to the King, wife and mother.
Sharon has been moved for a long time to volunteer full time in a pro life setting. This is such a blessing for us because I honestly cannot afford to pay her a salary that I can’t even pay myself. In order to work in our office and become a Napro Technology Trained Medical Consultant and Fertility Care Practitioner we have to pay for her training and travel expenses for the two sessions of training in Nebraska.
The total cost of this training is $11760 This cost includes the course, course materials, flights, travel costs, room and board for both sessions of training. Thus far we have raised just over $3000 through a go fund me you may have seen.
I wish that we had such a lucrative practice that this cost would be nothing, but recently we were informed that we have to vacate our current space by Oct 31, 2021. Our costs of new rent, furniture for the new unfurnished office, renovations and moving is going to cost a significant amount that we hadn’t planned for.
I was also informed that my religious and medical vaccine exemptions have been denied so I no longer have the ability to perform surgery or admit patients to Holy Redeemer Hospital which further decreases our income.
I believe that this work is important. I believe that expanding the practice and offering more patients this type of care is such a blessing. I pray that God will move your hearts to be generous and donate to cover the cost of this training for Sharon.
The blessings from this donation will continue to change hearts and minds of many long after this fundraiser is closed.

For the last twenty years, Generation Life has changed the hearts and minds of half a million young people throughout the greater Philadelphia area and beyond.
On a beautiful fall evening at The Inn at Villanova, 200 supporters gathered to reminisce, celebrate, and hope to equip the organization to continue to fight for love and life.
Kim Savage opened the evening by sharing how far the organization has come since its humble beginnings on the campus of Villanova University, which later grew into sharing chastity in the classrooms, early involvements outside of abortion facilities, and in time beach outreaches.
Those gathered saw a few videos that recapped the last twenty years of the organization while also hearing from past and current staff and volunteers what the organization has done and meant to them.
Fr. Joe Zaleski, the president of the organization, has asked everyone to continue donating to the organization as an anonymous donor wishes to match every money donated to the organization in the near future.
You may do so by donating to the organization here.
Please see the email below with details on the Generation Life Golf Outing fundraiser. While there are many avenues in the pro-life movement: legislative, prayerful, pregnancy center donations, public rallies, etc., Generation Life’s mission is to get to the root cause of abortion. Their goal is to educate the younger generations about chastity and try to stop the want or need for an abortion. They meet young people where they are and proclaim this message. Gen Life stands outside of abortion centers, speaks at pro-life rallies and most importantly, is a younger voice for the unborn. If you are an armchair golfer, then consider participating through a donation. If you were impressed by Phil Mickelson’s recent PGA Championship at the age of 50 and want to get back out on the links, then here’s your chance! Either way, please support Generation Life. It is through their ministry that true change will take place.
Dear friend, This week we are not only preparing for our final talks of the school year, but for our most exciting event outside the classroom – the bi-annual Pro-Life Golf Outing!
