The Price is Wrong When You Fundraise for Planned Parenthood

Many of us have grown up to watch the most popular game show The Price is Right. From Bob Barker to Drew Carey, the show has spanned for nearly half a century.

During an airing of a special show, RuPaul, a celebrity known for his drag queen shows came on the show to have the winnings of each prize matched by the producers to go to Planned Parenthood.

This is despicable. Why would they fundraise for an organization that murders innocent children for more than a century in the name of eugenics, population control, and women’s rights and call it “charity”?

Read more about it here

In response to this, I am asking everyone to counter this by participating in the Culture Project’s giving campaign that is tomorrow (5/12) and Wednesday (5/13).

In addition, you are asked to take part in the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia area’s fundraiser that ends on May 15th.

Mother’s Day Fundraiser

The following is from Tom Steven, Director of the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia regarding this year’s mother’s day fundraiser that typically takes place across the churches in the Greater Philadelphia area.

We hope this email finds you well!  How are you, your family, your parish, and your respect life activities, if any?
Due to the unanticipated cancellation of parish Masses this Mother’s Day, the Pro-Life Union is unable to distribute roses, baby bottles, and Mother’s Day Newsletters as we normally do.  We love giving roses to moms and are very disappointed (in addition to being disappointed by not being able to attend Mass!).
Mother’s Day baby bottle drives and rose sales are typically a significant fundraiser for Guiding Star Ministries maternity home and for the Pro-Life Union.  This May without our Mother’s Day campaign, we are left with the next best option — to try to raise funds via online fundraising (see below).
Please share via your parish email distribution list or in your parish bulletin if you are able.  Thank you for your support!   Please see below and share.
This Mother’s Day, Help These Moms who Chose Life! Give a gift in honor of your mom, or your mom’s mom, or in honor of someone who helped your mom along the way.  Join our Mother’s Day Campaign for moms and children.  All proceeds benefit Guiding Star Ministries, a home for single pregnant moms and their children.

Each year on Mother’s Day, the Pro-Life Union of Greater Philadelphia gives out thousands of roses in honor of moms on their special day, and hosts baby bottle drives in churches throughout Greater Philadelphia.  It is a significant fundraising event for Guiding Star Ministries and enables us to provide a safe, beautiful home to single pregnant women and their children who are at risk of homelessness.  This year due to the Covid-19 quarantine we are unable to host our fundraising campaign — so we are going virtual!

Thank you for being a part of this very important fundraising campaign!   Our goal is to raise $25,000.    Please share it with some friends.
NOTE: This fundraiser will run until Friday, May 15th.

Fashion for Life Online Show

Breaking Fashion News:

Thursday, April 30th, Hollywood had an all-day Fundraiser on Instagram for Planned Parenthood organized by Hollywood’s most glamorous and fun stars. Headlining names like Jenny Slate, Nikki Glaser, Elizabeth Banks, and The Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead led the star-studded day-long event to save abortion in the middle of the COVID pandemic.
They claim pro-life officials are using the virus to block access to abortion, and that those who perform the procedures are suffering with “increased costs related to the pandemic such as payroll for staff and purchasing supplies.”

One Instagram post of tens of thousands read “You rocked it! Your support of abortions is essential. Thank you for standing with us.”

“Curious how killing humans and donating to organizations that do so are helping save lives during this pandemic. Shouldn’t Hollywood be raising funds for emergency room workers, hospitals and food banks during the coronavirus?” – COL1972 Co-founder & Chief Designer Carla D’Addesi

“This is why we created and launched COL1972. A fashion brand that is going where no other brand has gone before. We are leading for life in pop-culture. They glamorize abortion, we will design and work harder to glamorize life.” – COL1972 Co-founder & Chief Designer Carla D’Addesi

COL1972 is countering the April 30th event by having an online Fashion Show TONIGHT Friday May 1. COL1972 has joined Dr. Monique Ruberu, Pro-Life OBGYN, and others to give back to Dr. Ruberu’s life-affirming medical practice which provides FREE care to women in need not only during COVID but every day.

Use CODE: LLL and Dr. Monique’s Medical Practice will receive 30% of every sale made 5/1 & 5/2.

THANK YOU FOR STANDING WITH COL1972 & BEING PASSIONATE ABOUT LEADING FOR LIFE IN POP CULTURE AND FASHION. WE ARE GLAMORIZING LIFE TOGETHER. LIFE IS ALWAYS IN STYLE.

Culture Project Daysofgiving

The following is a message from Cristina Barba, President, and Foundress of the Culture Project

This spring, the world has found itself at a unique and challenging moment. In this time of stay at home orders and school closures, the mission of The Culture Project has been challenged to find new ways to reach young people with the message of integrity, chastity, and the value of human life. Your ongoing support has enabled us to have the technology, staff, creativity, and flexibility to adapt, using new live digital programming and innovative video strategies.

If there’s ever a time to give to The Culture Project, this is it.

We know now, more than ever, that nothing is guaranteed. Even should we be able to resume life as “usual,” curveballs can arise at any time. The Culture Project is dedicated to always finding a way, but your help is critical for making sure we are equipped to do so.

On May 12th and 13th we will be hosting our second annual Days of Giving: a unique opportunity for you to support The Culture Project and have your gift make double the impact. A generous donor has committed to match donations received during the Days of Giving up to $25,000!

A gift from you will help us close the mission year strong and to keep dreaming and planning big for the next year. Finding our status quo challenged in every aspect of the mission – from outreach to training to missionary support – we remain certain that the message of life, love, and virtue can and will renew the culture, and we will do everything we can to spread that message.

Days of Giving will be crucial for The Culture Project’s ability to grow and to continue its critical mission: proclaiming the dignity of the human person and the richness of living sexual integrity.

Visit here to give to the organization on May 12th and 13th.

PRO-LIFE NECK GAITERS FOR SALE

With physical distancing protocols in full swing, what is the most awesome way to share the pro-life message at your neck grocery visit than wearing a pro-life neck gaiter as you venture out to rn, shop, and even pray outside of abortion facilities.

They sell for $20 and is made possible by Uplift by Lilly through Etsy.

Here are some of the different designs offered by the site.

Annual Stand Up for Life Dinner Set for November 22nd

The quarantine has put our lives on hold that we are at the point where we ask ourselves “Can we look forward to something?”

The answer is yes.

The annual Stand Up for Life Dinner will take place on Sunday, November 22nd. This year’s speaker is Matt Walsh (no relation to Fr. Chris Walsh of St. Raymond’s in Mt. Airy). Walsh is a writer for Daily Wire and an influential voice for conservatives. He hopes to use it as a platform to connect with his generation and beyond. More information will be available at a later date.

Matt Walsh was even one of the speakers from the rally against bullying last year outside of Planned Parenthood after videos of Brian Sims harassing pro-lifers surfaced. Listen to his speech here

Bonus Training: Should Women be Jailed for Aborting?

As you saw, Students for Life is hosting our own pro-life trainings for the next 5 weeks.

But there’s also a Bonus Training by Equal Rights Institute this Tuesday at 9pm EST!

The topic is a question that comes up often in conversations about abortion: “Do you think women should go to jail for having an abortion when it becomes illegal?”

In this webinar, Josh Brahm (the president of the Equal Rights Institute) will discuss that difficult question and offer several practical suggestions for how to respond to it. Afterward, Josh will take YOUR questions!

Make sure to REGISTER HERE or you won’t be able to join us live. Plus, the replay of the webinar will only be available for 48-hours. If you can’t join us live but you want to receive the replay link afterward, click HERE to register now.
