A TALE of TWO NUNS- CONVENTION RECAP

As the conventions for both parties draw to a close, we will do a recap to pit speakers from both events against each other. For this first edition, we will analyze Sister Diedre and Sister Simone.

Sister Deirdre Byrne

Sister Deirdre Byrne is a member of the Little Sisters of the Sacred Heart. She has over 20+ years with the Army Medical Corps and has worked at a missionary. In the late 90s, she pursued a vocation and found the Little Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary and became a member of the order in 2002. It helped her continue her medical profession while answering God’s call to serve him. During the third night of the RNC, she correlated her medical background with the issue of life saying:

“As a physician, I can say unequivocally life begins at conception. While what I have to say may be difficult for some to hear, I am saying it because I’m not just pro-life, I’m pro-eternal life and I want all of us to end up in heaven someday together.”

To listen to the full; version of her speech, visit here.

Sister Simone Campbell

Sister Simone Campbell is best known as the leader of “Nuns on the Bus”. They are a controversial group that promotes abortion. During the Democratic National Convention, Sister Simone delivered an address in which she celebrated the Democrat’s abortion platform.

Divided Catholic Church in America

What we have saw between the two is a good Catholic from a bad one. Sister Deirdre has said that the unborn is the most vulnerable in our society and they must be protected.

Meanwhile, Sister Simone has cheered the Democrats for allowing abortion on demand. Why would she do this?

This shows that with more than half of Catholics still buying the lies from the party of slavery, sodomy, terrorism, abortion, and even now socialism that good and faithful Catholics must rise up and take up the gauntlet to defeat this modern church that is a 180 degree opposite of what was established in 33 AD.

Our Catholic faith is at stake. We cannot support someone who is Catholic in Name Only while he has a shaky history of promoting abortion.

54 Day Rosary Novena (August 15th to October 7th)

On March 3, 1884 (in the same year Pope Leo XIII wrote the prayer to St. Michael, and exactly 33 years before the Fatima apparitions), a young girl named Fortuna Agrelli was graced with an apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary and given this special devotion which she passed onto others.

At the time, young Fortuna was ill with 3 separate incurable diseases and her doctors had given up on her case saying it was hopeless. In desperation, the young girl and her family began a novena of Rosaries.

Our Lady appeared to the girl, sitting upon a high throne, surrounded by luminous figures, holding the Divine Child on Her lap, and in Her hand a Rosary.

The sick girl greeted the Blessed Virgin with the following words: “Queen of the Holy Rosary, be gracious to me, restore me to health! I have already prayed to Thee in a novena, O Mary, but have not yet experienced Thy aid. I am so anxious to be cured!”

“Child,” responded the Blessed Virgin, “you have invoked Me by various titles and have always obtained favors from Me. Now, since you have called Me by that title so pleasing to Me, ‘Queen of the Most Holy Rosary’, I can no longer refuse the favor you petition; for this name is most precious and dear to Me. Make three novenas, and you shall obtain all.”

Once more, the Queen of the Holy Rosary appeared to the young girl and said, “Whoever desires to obtain favors from Me should make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary, and three novenas in thanksgiving.”

Obeying Our Lady’s instructions, the young girl was healed and restored to perfect health.

54-Day Rosary Novena

Traditionally a novena is nine days. Thus, Our Lady’’s words to young Fortuna — “make three novenas of the prayers of the Rosary in petition, and three novenas in thanksgiving.”

The novena consists of five decades of the Rosary (one set of mysteries) each day for twenty-seven days in petition; then immediately five decades each day for an additional twenty-seven days in thanksgiving, regardless of whether or not the request has been granted yet.

So began six novenas of Rosaries — which became known as the 54-day Rosary Novena.

To do the novena properly — one must pray the Rosary for 54 consecutive days, without missing a day, and must pray the particular Mystery indicated for that day following the correct sequence.

That is, the first day of the novena always begins with the Joyful Mysteries (regardless of what day of the week the novena is started); the second day, the Sorrowful Mysteries are prayed; and the third day of the novena, the Glorious Mysteries are prayed.

The fourth day of the novena begins again with the Joyful Mysteries and continues on in that sequence throughout the 54 days of the novena.

The first 27 days are prayed with the intention of petition. The second half are prayed with the intention of thanksgiving.

People have asked over time about the Luminous Mysteries — this novena was given by Our Lady as noted above in 1884 and only allows for the Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries.

The Miraculous Rosary Novena

It has been reported that the miracle of young Fortuna’s cure upon praying the 54-day Rosary Novena, made a deep impression on Pope Leo XIII. He wrote 17 encyclicals on the Rosary and urged all Christians to love the Rosary and pray it fervently. Over the years, countless supernatural miracles and answered prayers have been attributed to praying this very powerful 54 Day Rosary Novena.

In light of the upheavals brought about from the pandemic and civil unrest, we will offer the novena for its end.

August To-Do List

Hard to believe that it is August, and we’re more than half way through the summer.

The 8th month of the year can serve as a time to get in much needed family vacation before school is back in session. Sadly, the pandemic has put everyone’s plans on hold. Some are still unsure due to the unprecedented times.

The good news is Voices for Life has a to-do list throughout the month that can help you channel your Covid-19 frustrations in helping to advance the pro-life message. This list is applicable for your daily pro-life conviction.

  1. See Trump Card

It should come as no surprise that Dinesh D’Sousa, an immigrant of India, is not done defending the core principles of America. For the last eight years, he has been on the New York Times bestseller’s list, been falsely convicted for fraud, and has produced documentaries that have been game changers. His latest project, “Trump Card” is slated to be released on Friday, August 7th. Due to the temporary closing of movie theaters, you can view the documentary on-demand.

He played a pivotal role in exposing Hillary Clinton’s past which helped Donald Trump become the 45th President of the United States with “Hillary’s America”.

In addition, his most recent book United States of Socialism, is out now. To make your purchase, visit here.

2. Holy Hour/Mass for Life

Many states have masses back in session (with restrictions). Some of the faithful should be encouraged to host a Holy Hour for an end to abortion. St. Teresa of Calcutta once believed that if every Catholic made a weekly Holy Hour, we would see an end to abortion. So what are you waiting for? Even if you can’t bring one to you church, make one on your accordance.

3. Take part in vigils in your community

Connect with your local pro-life coalition and find out about vigil locations and times. Pray with your family, college, or even church group. Create a sign that advertises free help with contact information.

4. Host a pro-life committee meeting in your church

Gather people in your parish or church and discuss ways you can help get the pro-life message to your community all around with another pivotal election approaching.

5. Donate to pro-life charity

Give anything you have to advance many pro-life groups making a difference. Some groups include: Generation Life, The Culture Project, St. Raymond Nonnatus Foundation, Guiding Star, and Susan B Anthony List to name a few.

6. Work for Susan B Anthony List

The Susan B Anthony List is gearing up to help reach out to voters as the 2020 elections are coming very soon. They are hiring in many battleground states. To learn more, visit here.

7. Purchase Stork: Sowing Season

An indie author recently came out with an amazing book that promotes a pro-life message. To order your copy, visit here. It will make an excellent read in your backyard with a cold drink or while you’re catching rays at the beach.

8. Sign up for 40 Days for Life

The 40 Days for Life campaign begins on Wednesday, September 23rd and ends the weekend before the General Election. The spring campaign was interrupted with the pandemic. Now, with many states putting this phenomenon behind, it is time to go all in to save lives, pray for the workers, help moms choose life, and make a difference in your community.

9. Sidewalk Servants

Even though we’re a long way from the next 40 Days for Life campaign, there are babies being murdered every day. Your presence for at least an hour two during the week will make an impact on the abortion industry. Learn more about sidewalk servants here. Consider starting one in your community.

Paid Opportunity to Knock On Doors For the Election

The following is from an email blast sent by Fr. Frank Pavone.

I have some exciting news from our friends at The Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List), a key political pro-life group.

As you may know, they are longtime friends and allies of ours in the effort to elect pro-life candidates and inform pro-life voters.

Right now, they are looking for people willing to go door-to-door in their community to a targeted list of voters to ask them some simple questions and give them some helpful information to equip them for voting.

SBA List will train those who want to do this, provide the talking points and the information, and provide the specific, pre-selected homes to visit.

Those who do this are paid $10-$15 per hour depending on state and are reimbursed $0.30/mile for their travels. Hours are flexible (up to 40 hours per week). Other incentives are offered.

Participants must be 16 or older, able to abide by strict daily reporting requirements, and in harmony with a pro-life mission.

You may learn more and sign up at https://www.sba-list.org/join-field-team. If you have further questions you can contact Laurie Lee at 501-258-6353 or Laurie@SBAListField.org.

The target states right now are the following, and if you know people in some of these other states who may also be interested, please feel free to pass this email on to them!

6 out of 10 Americans Reject Idea that ‘Human Life is Sacred,’ Survey Finds

The first installment of the report series suggests that only 6% of Americans adhere to a biblical worldview.

Pro Life Activist

The following is an article by Michael Gryboski, a reporter for the Christian Post. This report should be of great concern to all Catholic and Evangelical Churches.

Around six in 10 Americans do not believe that human life is inherently “sacred,” though more than two-thirds believe human beings are “basically good,” new data suggests.

The recently launched Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University released a report on Tuesday examining how Americans value human life.

Data for the report came from a survey conducted in January of 2,000 adult respondents in the United States, 1,000 of whom were contacted by telephone and 1,000 reached by online questionnaires. The data has a margin of error of 2 percentage points.

Among respondents, only 39% said they agreed with the statement: “human life is sacred.”

The word “sacred” is defined by the researchers as “having unconditional, intrinsic worth.”

Many respondents who identified as religious were more likely than the total sample to believe that human life is sacred. For example, 60% of evangelical and born-again Christian respondents agreed that life is sacred.

Among other respondent groups, 46% of Pentecostals, 45% of mainline Protestants, and 43% of Roman Catholics agreed that human life is sacred.

Meanwhile, 12% of respondents said they believe people are only “material substance – biological machines.” Another 12% said that believe humans are “part of the mind of the universe.”

While most did not believe life was sacred, 69% of respondents concluded that people were “basically good.”

The researchers argue that seeing humans as just “basically good” runs “counter to the foundational biblical teaching that human beings are created by God and made in His image but are fallen and in need of redemption.”

CRC Director of Research George Barna, who founded the Barna Group, said in a statement that the view of mankind being “basically good” is negatively influencing current debates over law enforcement and systemic racism.

“A movement to defund police departments might make sense if people are innately good. People with a humanistic worldview argue that crime and violence happen because of poverty, bad parenting, systemic discrimination, and other external forces,” stated Barna.

“Yet crime statistics, political tensions, tendencies toward anger and hatred, and America’s moral deterioration and confusion suggest that we are neither innately good nor that emotional responses to empirical challenges will solve the problems.”

Is Fatherhood Essential? Reflecting on Father’s Day

It goes without showing that our culture has been going down a slow but declining drain.

We have seen an increase in crime, fatherless homes, sexual promiscuity, secularism, and even incarcerations. Why? It’s all because of the lack of father figures in the lives of children.

In 2003, Jennifer Schwartz from Penn State University, did a study on what is the cause of so many incarceration among children. She discovered that there has been a missing compartment in the household, a father figure.

As it turned out, Schwartz discovered what the complete problem was for these many young teens are imprisoned. They had no father in the household. Read more here.

Fathers Neglect

It appears that it can be applied today. Pope Francis once talked about a very dangerous plague in our culture known as the “throwaway culture”. This throwaway culture can be applied to the abortion industry.

Fathers to be are taught that they do not have to take responsibility for their pre-marital affairs with another girl. This is the most dangerous thing to say to a father. Even fathers regret their lost children in the hyperactive culture of death. Women’s rights achieved this victory when they intoxicated masculinity just to tear down men with the venom of feminism.

A man’s job in this culture is to stand against the waves of modernism. The father’s first and foremost job is to protect his family. Without his protection, the family is vulnerable to the tyranny of the world.

Man Up

We are living in hard times due to weak men. I see many wimps walk their girlfriends into the abortion facility every time I am on the sidewalk. It infuriates me, yet I have to offer it up to God for him to awaken his senses. However, it must make us stronger in order to create good times.

Men, throughout history, have risen to the occasion. Whether it were to do their duty to fight, provide, and even support. Now it would be the time for brave God-fearing men to step up to the plate to end the culture of death.

Men, it’s time to make and take a stand. The culture of modernism, secularism, and even relativism can end when you become more involved with your faith by leading your children and family to Christ. It will be a challenge, yes. However, when you place God first, you will move mountains and leap over the toughest hurdles.

There is a solution. Men, it’s time to step out on the sidewalk and pray. Visit Sidewalks Servants and Sign Up.

MAN UP!

Voices for Life Prayer Campaign: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez #onesoulatatime

Voices for Life prayer campaign continues into the 4th week.

AOC

This week please join us in praying for NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Ocasio-Cortez has been the subject of some memes that attack her intelligence. I know because I have neighbors that love using her as a punchline. Here, she is the subject of prayer for her to open her eyes as she supported the murder of 1/3 of her peers. When I did my research on her, it has occurred to me that she is just two months older than me

I chose her for three reasons:

  1. She is originally from Venezuela where socialism is drying the very bone of a once productive country.
  2. She has made a poor metaphor about abortion
    1. Comparing abortion to dog-breeding
  3. She is unapologetically pro-abortion
    1. Population Control
    2. Slams Georgia Lawmakers for Abortion Ban
    3. Force Americans to pay for abortion with taxpaying dollars

Let us pray for Representative Ocasio-Cortez’s:

  • That God sends many Christians across her path to share the Gospel
  • That the light of Christ sets her free from the deceit and darkness of satan
  • That she falls to her knees and surrenders her life to Jesus Christ, her only hope for salvation
  • That the Holy Spirit shows her overwhelming proof that abortion is murder and
  • That she becomes an advocate for mothers and their unborn babies.

Please join me this week in remembering Representative Ocasio-Cortez in your daily prayers.

Now, please join me in prayer.

Fount of Mercy Prayer
Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, we come to You with a contrite heart and with faith for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that You will give her the grace of conversion. O blood and water that gushed forth from the heart of Jesus, as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You. Enlighten this mind that is ensnared in ignorance and sin and darkness. Bring her into the fold of the Holy Catholic Church. Amen.

“Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”  James 1:21
