Please Contact Your Elected Officials: Abortion Facilities are Not Essential Businesses

The following is from Sandy Slater, President of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition.  Links are provided in this post for the Pennsylvania governor and legislators. (Those who live in other states can find your elected officials information on the web.)   Leave your message for them along with your name, address (so they know you are in their district) and phone number to let them know how you feel.  It’s time the abortion industry is made to realize that they are not above the law and deserve no special privileges!

ERA

This is an activity that is requested of you.

Other states are doing this.  PA tends to see what “other” states are doing and whether they succeeded.  In both cases:  Maryland and Mississippi, the governors are ordering the close of abortion clinics.  I intend to contact our governor’s office (we may not be able to get through because I tried it this week) or my representative to request the same.  Please do this activity.  It is worth a try and ask for a response.

Those of you who attend the BCPLC meetings received a list of the legislators at the meeting or you can use the links provided below.

Other governors have issued similar orders limiting non-essential medical procedures.  Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Ohio included abortion facilities in their bans on non-essential surgeries and procedures.

Please Join Us for a Mass for Life to Kickoff the 40 Days for Life in Warminster, Pennsylvania

Opening Mass - Copy

The Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition  would like to invite everyone to a  Mass for Life to kick off the 40 Days for Life Campaign in Warminster, Pennsylvania  on Tuesday night, February 25th at Nativity of Our Lord Church.  After the Mass we will gather at the Planned Parenthood on Louis Drive for a short prayer vigil.

Below is information from Melissa Chapman, coordinator for the Warminster Campaign.

I hope everything is going well with each of you.  We’re less than two weeks away from the start of this upcoming campaign and will be one of 507 local campaigns around the world – the largest spring campaign in the history of 40 DFL.

I understand Warminster is hard, and I want to thank all of you who have been part of this for years or who have recently joined us.  This may already be known, however, we have stumbled across some interesting information that suggests when we show up and pray outside of Warminster, yes just Warminster, each of you are making an impact on abortion around our state in addition to our community…and all we have to do is continue to show up and pray and leave the rest to the One who created each of us. I know it’s close, however, if you’re on the fence about joining us, I ask that you take this into consideration to help us fill as much of this campaign from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm as possible.

You can sign up by emailing me at  hemler.chapman@1791.com or using the online calendar  using this link.

Join Us for Our Annual Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling in Warminster, Pa on December 13th

Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling
Friday, December 13, 2019
9:00 – 10:00 am
Planned Parenthood Abortion Center
610 Louis Drive
Warminster, PA 19154 (map)
(Refreshments to follow at the VFW across the street from PP)

Every year pro-lifers across the nation bring the joy and hope of Christmas to the darkness of abortion facilities with a Christmas Caroling day.

OLGSome gather around a large empty Christmas crèche  symbolizing both the hopeful anticipation of a child’s birth and the emptiness left behind by abortion and sing carols about the Christ child. Babies have been SAVED from abortion when their mothers heard these carols and were moved by the thought of how Mary said “YES” to be the mother of Jesus.

In Warminster, Pennsylvania,  ‘Peace in the Womb Christmas Caroling’ will be held on Friday, December 13th  in front of Planned Parenthood.  We hope everyone from Bucks County will come and join us for this annual event.

Please dress warmly and invite your family and friends to join you.  Refreshments and fellowship to follow at the VFW located at 645 Louis Drive (across the street from Planned Parenthood).

This event is sponsored locally by the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition and  nationally by the Pro-Life Action League.

Below are a few remarks from Melissa concerning this campaign.

Fall is fast approaching and so is the next 40 Days for Life campaign of peaceful prayer and vigil in Warminster.  Thank you again for all of your work and dedication protecting and defending life in the Spring 2019 40 Days for Life campaign!  Many hours of the peaceful prayer vigil were filled, and Mrs. Paris, a faithful sidewalk counselor,  stated that she noticed a decrease in “clients” entering PP.  Also, thank you to all who have continued to pray at the Warminster PP since the spring 40 Days for Life campaign ended back in April.

We’ve recently learned through The Pro-life Union of Greater Philadelphia, that there were 591 surgical abortions performed at Warminster PP in 2018 (according to the PA Department of Health).  This is the lowest number yet but does not include medical abortions that can be obtained anytime they are open.

As I’ve mentioned previously, we’ll be having another 24-hour vigil campaign this fall.  I understand that this is a lot, however, it is definitely possible.  We had many overnight hours filled during the previous campaign and there are many benefits to an around the clock campaign.  If there’s an unbroken prayer vigil, the signs and materials can be out there constantly, and people will see their community’s dedication to life even through the night.  Many of the abortion centers that have closed have done so after a 24-hour campaign.  With that being said, if you’re joining us for the fall campaign, please let me know the date(s) and hours you and your church would like to cover.  Your group does not have to do the full 24 hours (12am-12am) if you’re not comfortable.  There’s a plan to handle logistics differently this time if we don’t have the full coverage, so that each of your groups have signs and materials for your entire shift.  I’ll send out the details once they’re finalized.

Volunteers Needed by the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition at Their Annual Fundraising Event at the Polish Festival in Doylestown, Pennsylvania

The following was sent to me from Sandy Slater, Vice-President of the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition.  They are looking for volunteers to help man their tables at their annual Labor Day fundraiser at Our Lady of Czestochowa Polish Festival  on the following dates:

Saturday, August 31st; Sunday, September 1st; and Monday (Labor Day) September 2nd.

Saturday, September 7th, and Sunday, September 8th.

The hours are from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm on each of the days listed above.

They are offering an opportunity to be a part of the pro-life movement which is making tremendous strides in banning abortion.  Please think about donating an hour or more to this fundraising event.  The more volunteers, the more successful this event will be.

Admission to the festival itself is $12.00; however, there is no charge to volunteer to help the Bucks County Pro-Life Coalition at their tables.   If you are available for an hour or two (or more) to support their efforts,  contact Sandy at 215-538-1390.

This fundraising event raises money for the pregnancy help centers and homes located in and around Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
