Prayer Campaign for Politicians Week Six: Governor Tom Wolf #onesoulatatime

Wolf is extremely close to the abortion chain Planned Parenthood, having once been a volunteer. Planned Parenthood spent a record $1.5 million to support his re-election in 2018.

PA Governor Tom Wolf is the focus of the sixth and final week of our Prayer Campaign for Politicians.

Gov. Wolf is one of the most pro-abortion governors in our nation. In July 2015, a Life News article reported he appointed a Planned Parenthood board member as his chief of staff.  The Philadelphia Inquirer reported that PP pledged $1.5 million dollars to his 2018 reelection campaign.

He has vetoed many pro-life bills since he has taken office.  “When Planned Parenthood wants a veto, Governor Tom Wolf gives it to them every time – no matter the impact on the health and well-being of Pennsylvania citizens,” Michael Geer, PA Family Institute

Jesus calls us to pray for our enemies.  It’s impossible to obey Jesus’ command regarding our enemies without total dependence on Him and His divine power and grace.  Peter tells us that God doesn’t want anyone to perish. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise…but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Paul’s epistle to Timothy directs us to pray for leaders in authority.  “I urge, then, first of all that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone, for kings and all those in authority.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2a

How-Should-We-Pray-for-Our-Leaders-

The prayer for salvation is of primary importance for a soul on the path to hell.

Heavenly Father, we lift up Governor Wolf to you.  We pray the Holy Spirit would convict him of his support for abortion and Planned Parenthood.  We pray that he would repent of his sins and turn away from his path of evil.  May he accept your gift of salvation through your son Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen

1,700 Babies Have Died Since PA Gov Tom Wolf Banned Elective Procedures During COVID Pandemic…But Allowed Abortions

In a global pandemic that shut down the state and nation in order to concentrate all resources to fighting COVID-19 and stopping its spread, Governor Wolf permitted Planned Parenthood to risk further spread of the coronavirus and to take resources away from fighting the pandemic all to perform elective abortions.

During the COVID pandemic, PA Gov. Wolf banned all elective procedures with one exception.  Gov. Wolf was a former Planned Parenthood escort and recipient of PAC monies  from the abortion giant for his reelection. Below is an article by Dan Bartkowiak of PA Family Institute with the full report.

On March 19, Governor Tom Wolf issued his “life-sustaining businesses” list, which, in part, prohibited all elective surgical procedures by hospitals as well as ambulatory surgical facilities:

Planned Parenthood is considered an ambulatory surgical facility in Pennsylvania. Their affiliated PAC spent a record $2.5 million in 2018 to help re-elect Governor Tom Wolf, a former Planned Parenthood volunteer.

Despite Governor Wolf’s order to cease all elective surgical procedures, he gave Planned Parenthood, the state’s largest abortion business, special treatment by allowing their elective abortion operation to continue during the COVID-19 crisis.
On April 27, Governor Wolf lifted the ban on elective surgeries.

Elective Surgeries

40 Days

From March 19 thru April 27, Governor Tom Wolf declared the largest abortion chain in Pennsylvania a “life-sustaining business.” Here’s some of  the results from this action:

1,714*

1,714 – Estimated Abortions by Planned Parenthood in Pennsylvania during  this crisis (March 19 – April 27).

* Based on past average reporting data sent to the PA Department of Health.

$745,590*

$745,590 – Estimated revenue from these abortions.

* Low estimate based on the charge of $435 per chemical abortion (some PA locations charge $500) or surgical abortion before 12 weeks.

The absurdity of this exemption goes beyond abortion, too. On March 24th, Planned Parenthood in PA pleaded for private donations of personal protective equipment (PPE) for performing elective abortions.

Two days later (March 26), Governor Wolf made this declaration:

“We need more beds. We need more ventilators. More personal protective equipment. And so much more. And we need it as soon as possible because the virus is here.” (emphasis added)

On April 1st, he reiterated the need for certain PPE. “Right now there’s a shortage of masks.”
