By now, many of us are outraged by the stunt pulled by pop and teen idol, Miley Cyrus.

Does she realize that she is part of the problem of how many people are being exposed to the promiscuity in our culture?

Recently, Hannah Rickords, a young woman in her late teens countered Miley’s Facebook sharing her adoption story.

Read below:

Miley,

You teamed up with Planned Parenthood to share a message…

Here’s mine.

20 years ago, my biological mother walked into her Planned Parenthood pregnant and not sure where else to go. Measuring over 20 weeks, she was told they could move forward with termination. When she explained she wasn’t there for that kind of procedure, it was explained to her that was all the only help she could receive there.

My birth mom wrote:

“All I wanted was help. For someone to see me for the terrified young woman I was. I wanted someone to hold my hand and tell me everything was going to be okay. I quickly learned that this was not the place for that kind of reassurance. The woman quietly, but firmly, said she was sorry she couldn’t help me.”

If that day she had chosen abortion as her plan, I would not be here today. Regardless of what argument you could have of when life truly begins, if that day in that Planned Parenthood, a young girl was swayed to terminate, I would not be here.

Miley, what about my healthcare? What about the millions of people that will never see the light of day because “abortion is healthcare?”

As an unborn child, there wasn’t much I could do to contribute to society, but now as a 20-year-old being, I have been able to touch the lives of hundreds through a conference I held and my original music.

I am grateful every single day that my birthmother chose another plan for me.

I am grateful every single day that an adoption is an option.

Take action by sharing her photo on her social media platforms today. Adoption Story

Interview with Culture of Life 1972 Apparel

COL 1972

Recently, I interviewed the founders of a clothing line that is responding to the trend of clothing companies supporting Planned Parenthood. The interview is below.

What is the name of the clothing line?

COL1972 was created around our family dinner table. 1972 Is the final year we enjoyed a culture of life in the United States of America. In 1973 the supreme court ruled that are tiniest Americans did not have the right to life. Since 1973 61 million Americans have been denied the right to life. We would like to get back to celebrating all life as we did in the year 1972.

Where are you headquartered?

We are in Pennsylvania. We are a family business that just launched a January 2019 for sanctity of life month.

You are responding to a common trend that clothing lines are donating to Planned Parenthood. Does it make you counter-cultural? How?

Yes. We are proud to be countercultural. Our brand applauds life.

We are tired are pointing to what we are against. We think sharing what we are for is more beautiful and powerful.

You have a big power player as your ambassador for your organization? Who is it? What prompted you or her to represent your line? We are thrilled the author of Unplanned, Abby Johnson, has graciously accepted to be our global ambassador. She understands that ‘Life is always in style.’ She also understands that we should be using every medium possible, including Fashion, to share how amazing the culture of life crowd is!

Discuss some of the clothes you have on sale currently.

We are street chic. We are launching our Abby J Collection the end of June. It will be our contemporary business collection. Classic pencil skirts, crisp white button downs and much more! We believe modesty is the new black!

You plan to support pro-life causes. Any in particular? Yes. Our family had always given back. We practice something called tithing. It is very traditional but we give back to organizations that support our faith and core values. 10% of each purchase goes to a Culture of Life event or organization. We were able to sponsor the March for life and students for life conference this year amongst other COL events.

What is your hope for your clothing line as you move forward? We pray our clothing is used to incite civil and productive conversation about protecting the life’s tiniest moment to it’s final breath.

If someone is interested in learning more or purchasing your products, where can they find you?
