The Pennsylvania Department of Health issued deficiency reports to Warminster Planned Parenthood in Bucks County and PPSP West Chester Health Center in Chester County.

Warminster PP was cited for violating section 3205 Informed Consent. The following is an excerpt from that report:

(2) At least 24 hours prior to the abortion, the physician who is to perform the abortion or the referring physician, or a qualified physician assistant, health care practitioner, technician or social worker to whom the responsibility has been delegated by either physician, has informed the pregnant woman that:

(i) The department publishes printed materials which describe the unborn child and list agencies which offer alternatives to abortion and that she has a right to review the printed materials and that a copy will be provided to her

Based on review of policy, medical records (MR) and staff interview (EMP), it was determined the facility failed to ensure the required 24 hour parental informed consent was received prior to the termination of a pregnancy in one of seventeen pediatric medical records reviewed (MR6).

Outrageous! Unconscionable! Unthinkable! Reactions to Special PA Hearing on Abortion

Among the disturbing developments: Evidence the PA Department of Health is not doing enough to ensure that cases of sexual abuse of minor girls who undergo abortions are reported to the state’s child abuse hotline.

The PA House Health Committee held a five hour hearing on fetal development and abortion. The Harrisburg hearing was held on April 8, 2021 and chaired by State Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren). Three pro-life doctors provided expert testimony. One of the doctors who testified was Dr. Monique Ruberu, a obstetrician/gynecologist. She is an author, pro-life activist and heads up 40 Days for Life campaigns at Philadelphia abortion sites.

Outrageous. Unconscionable. Unthinkable.

These are just some of the reactions to revelations from last week’s special hearing on abortion before the Health Committee of the PA House of Representatives.

Among the disturbing developments: Evidence the PA Department of Health is not doing enough to ensure that cases of sexual abuse of minor girls who undergo abortions are reported to the state’s child abuse hotline.

Action Item: Please contact your state Representative and tell him or her that you want the Department of Health to be held accountable when it comes to regulation of abortion facilities and the reporting of the sexual abuse of children.

If you do not know who your state representative is, or you need contact information, please visit https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/home/findyourlegislator/#address .

If you missed the hearing and would like to view it online, go to http://pahousegop.com/Video/Health  and click on the April 8th video.

Please be advised: the entire hearing is about five hours long and covers a range of issues including abortion statistics, the development of the preborn child, and telemedicine abortions.
